Description: AronHill Vineyards resides atop a steep limestone overlook just west of Paso Robles. Here, Judy Aron cultivates eight acres of dry-farmed Primitivo and Cabernet Sauvignon, producing small-lot wines of natural purity and structure. Here, you can experience our award-winning, dry-farmed estate wines while enjoying our hilltop vineyard views—often including eye-level sightings of our resident hawks hovering beyond the picture window. We consider the tasting room to be an extension of our home, and on any given day you might find us pouring your wine. While you are here, we invite you to join us for a bite at our adjoining AronHill Bistro.

Totally uninventive sandwiches and salads. Basic deli sandwiches. Wine not so great, and remarkably overpriced for what it was. The waitress REFUSED to let me order a sandwich unless I ordered a glass of wine, or ordered a $10 wine tasting. When she saw I was with a group, and I asked her to tell them what she told me, she changed what she told new, and actually said that they "ask" patrons to order wine with their sandwich "since Aronhill is a winery." Then they refused to take American Express cards, but the topper was that, when the brought the bill, there was a note included suggesting that diners include a separate tip for their "wonderful" kitchen staff! Thus was, by far, the worst dining and vineyard experience we had in Paso Robles, especially since all the others were from very good to excellent. SKIP THIS PLACE

stopped in here while wine tasting and looking for special event venues. Farmstand 46 is now closed :(, but this is right across the street so we killed 3 birds/one stone. The tasting room guys were super friendly and non-pretentious. We ordered lunch as well and really enjoyed our sandwiches/salads and eating out on their lovely patio on the hill with a super sweet view. I would recommend this for some good wine tasting and good lunch in the area - you will not regret it!

We had planned to eat at Farmstand 46, but it was closed (not sure why) and this was the nearest option. The veggie and chicken sandwiches were pretty good. While the people were very friendly, we were not big fans of their wine.

We didn't do wine tasting here, because we were famished and needed to get some food in our systems. So we sat out on the covered patio and ordered some really delicious Panini sandwiches and glasses of the AronHill Chardonnays. I had the "Mare" panini which was a really good smoked turkey with Gouda cheese and pesto sauce on perfectly toasted panini bread. It was served with a spring mix salad which was lightly dressed and wonderful. I put some of the salad on the sandwich and voila, double goodness in every bite. There are not many eating places on 46, other than Farm Stand 46 which is the place most people stop, but they were closed until May. After eating at AronHIll, who cares that they were closed. Bon appetit in between tasting.
