Dear Anindya,

Thank you for your review. The location and aesthetics of The Tamara Coorg evoke a strong sense of calmness and tranquility among all visitors. Nature itself is the primary experience, which the resort compliments with several luxuries in a responsible and pleasing way. Amazingly beautiful, awesome accommodations, unbelievable service, delicious food....the list goes on and on. So grateful to be able to experience this magnificent place full of charm and beauty. The sounds of the waterfall, music of the birds and the sweet smell of coffee follow you around in this lovely place. The accommodations are grand and all cottages made from Burmese Teak from ceiling to floor....the food just so delicious...and not to mention the variety and service for dining! Activities planned could have been improved to include more programs for those who wish to join...however for those who want who want to have peace and quiet and want to relax...you have found that place here. The coffee brewing experience, the plantation walk, the 4 hour trek up the mountain, the spa, all amazing. The terrain is not for those who don't like to walk a little -- buggies are there to take you from your cottage to the main areas but you may have to call early to make sure they get their on time -- we walked all around so no issues. Overall, just lovely. Would absolutely go there again. If you are willing to spend those extra bucks...this is an awesome choice.

Room Tip: All rooms and cottages are excellent!!

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your appreciation! We are delighted that you had an enjoyable stay at our little slice of paradise.

Our guests’ feedback is extremely valuable to us in our quest for perfection and your suggestions have been noted. We are glad that you had the opportunity to experience all our activities, especially “Blossom to Brew”, our signature coffee brewing activity that is exclusive to The Tamara Coorg.

As the resort has been built respecting the natural topography of the land, the estate has a sloping terrain. However, as you mentioned, guests can make use of the buggy facilities. We thank you for your positive reinforcement of our beliefs and we hope that you will visit us again very soon.

Warm Regards,
Team The Tamara Coorg

Excellent place for a weekend get-away
Cottages and facilities within excellent (amazing view from the rooms)
Place is serene and ideal for nature lovers
Restaurant and food could be better but nevertheless a great place

Cons: The road and the drive from coorg central to the resort is a pain (takes 1-2hrs)

Dear Safal,

Thank you for your review. The Tamara Coorg is one of the few resorts in the world that is located within a fully functional coffee and spice plantation. It is situated at the edge of a rainforest in the Western Ghats and thus, approaching the resort involves maneuvering through raw terrain. However, the beautiful uphill views make the drive worth it.

Your feedback has been duly noted. We thank you for making us your preferred choice in Coorg and look forward to hosting you again.

Warm regards,

Had stayed here quite a while back at the end of April 2013. What a memorable stay.
Its not easy finding this place, quite a drive.. but once you reach, you'll never want to leave!
Beautiful property. The rains immensely added to the charm. Excellent staff, very hospitable. Made sure we had a comfortable stay. Especially an ever smiling courteous lady whose name probably started with C that unfortunately I'm unable to recall.

Pretty much everything in tamara from the rooms to the views, from the staff to the food exceeded expectations.
The only nitpickings I had was the sit out area and the lounge chairs there were not clean and there was no pool or spa (at that time).

No room service but that is understandable considering their concern against insects. Plus their dining area is spectacular. Stunning views and a see through floor in the centre.

Apart from the remote location(quite a tricky drive) this definitely has potential to become the number one property in coorg.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your excellent feedback. The Tamara Coorg is especially charming during the Monsoon season, cloaked in a veil of rain and blanketed in pristine coffee blossoms. We are glad that you had an enjoyable stay. We pride ourselves on the beauty of our exquisite locale – a space for soulful reflection far away from the rush of city life.

Your feedback has been duly noted. Owing to the rough terrain and weather conditions at Coorg, the pool is under development and will be ready shortly. We do have a Studio Spa, ‘Elevation’ that offers guests with a variety of massages and spa treatments.

It is the faith our guests have in us that reinforce our commitment to providing a bouquet of unparalleled hospitality. We hope to see you at our resort again very soon.

Warm Regards,

Tried this after being to Orange County a couple of times. So let me draw a comparison . Both are excellently designed and equally well maintained. Food is good in both the places. On par in most but this why Tamara comes second :
1. It's about 40km further away than Orange County on a not so good road, but the drive is indeed very scenic which in a way compensates.
2. No pool , atleast when I was here.
3. No spa, again I was here quite some time back.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your feedback. The Tamara Coorg is located on a remote land of intrigue and beauty, far into the reaches of the Western Ghats. The drive uphill is set against the backdrop of winding roads, lush plantations and misty hills.

Owing to the rough terrain and weather conditions at Coorg, the pool is under development and will be ready shortly. We do have a Studio Spa, ‘Elevation’ that offers guests with a variety of massages and spa treatments. We hope to entertain you again at our resort.
