Easily accessible from the airport via the Great Eastern Highway. It is a 5 minute walk to a Red Rooster, Subway , Pizza shop and convenience shop.
We booked the Family unit with bunk beds, first impressions was it smelt of smoke. Alot of smoke. the smell was in the sofa, sheets everywhere.
The bathrooms were very clean.
The kitchenette had a fridge, stove, toaster, crockery and cutlery. A tip- wash up every single dirty dish before you sleep or you will wake up to a few cockroaches running around the sink in the morning.
The sheets and towels were clean.
They had a TV, which the kids enjoyed. there was supposed to be a phone in the room but we couldn't locate it and were there for 2 days.
The negative- was that there was an air con in the main room but the air could not circulate to the second room where there were 2 bunk beds. Those that slept in the adjoining room felt stuffy in the Perth summer heat.
If you need a simple, basic place to stay and don't mind the smell of smoke in the room. then it is for you.
There are no lifts, so those travelling with luggage may want to consider that before they book.

I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay.

All of our rooms are strictly non-smoking but unfortunately some guests choose to ignore this. We are very conscious any of our rooms smelling like cigarettes. It must have been the customer directly before you that smoked and so the room did not have a chance to air out. I can assure you all of the linen was fresh. Our cleaning staff are instructed to change any mattress protectors, blankets or bedspreads that smell like smoke. So if this did not occur, I apologise.

I regard to the cockroaches, it is a difficult issue. Perth is hot in summer and cockroaches will be attracted to ant food left on dirty dishes. We keep the kitchens very clean and carry out regular cockroach treatments.

You have pointed out that the motel does not have lifts. Unfortunately, installation of lifts is not economically viable for the business. However, we do keep our rates very low, so overall it is a fair price.

We keep the telephones in the reception as unfortunately over the years some have gone missing. If you had asked, there would have been no problem to supply a telephone.

Stayed here for a week in June with my husband. Apartment is clean and tidy with full kitchen and good sized fridge and microwave. Bed was extremely comfortable, I have a bad back and had no problems on the bed, it was great. Close to perth CBD and casino. Small shopping complex across the road with a couple of food outlets eg: red rooster, a corner shop and some other shops.
Only issues we had was the shower fittings needed replacing and the couch wasn't to comfy, but otherwise we enjoyed our stayed very much. Would stay again.

Nice clean lodge with everything within easy reach (eg bus stop, train Station, casino). Great for a family on a tight budget.
This property could do with ceiling fans in the bedrooms and a bit of updating but we couldn't fault the management or staff when things needed attending to or extra linen needed.
Overall nice place but would possibly stay somewhere newer next time considering the cost.

We booked a room at this establishment as it was close to the city of Perth and Crown Perth at which we attending a function at. The room cost us $160 and slept the four of us with another fold out sofa bed. The complex is just off Great Eastern Hwy which is a busy road but he traffic noise isn't evident. The complex is old and a little shabby. The front office staff was polite when we checked in at 2pm. The room was roomy but dated. The tap fixture in the bathroom was broken, there was a lot of extension cords around, there were tears in the fly screens and outside where the car bay was had old alcohol bottles and glasses. But having said that the beds were comfortable, the shower hot and the towels fluffy. It had a big clean fridge and lots of plates and cups etc. The area is noisy because it is surrounded by residential flats and so a peaceful sleep in was not on the cards. But having said all of that the facility was worth what we paid and did its job. Would consider using it again as a place to sleep.

Room Tip: Room one has its own carbay

Thank you for the positive comments in your review. The messy area you pointed out has been rectified and a new blockout blind has been fitted on the patio to replace the old fly wire.

Hope to see you again.

We booked a room on this hotels website and recieved a confirmation notice by email. After travelling 200km into Perth we found that they had sold our room and that we had nowhere to stay. A warning to anyone booking via websites, always ring the hotel to check that the booking is genuine and has been received.

A 5 minute drive into the Perth CBD, 3 minutes from freeways heading south and north, walking distance (if you're reasonably fit) to the beautiful Swan River, the Casino and the Burswood train station which will get you virtually anywhere on the rail network with ease - what's not to like? The whole complex is in good repair. The apartments are very clean and there's loads of space for 3-4 adults. Very friendly service from staff and units are serviced daily if you need it. Conveniently located to local amenities. Flat screen tele with loads of FTE and pay channels for those who need it. Weird hot/cold thing with the hot water in both the kitchen and shower and seemingly not only because someone's using another hot water tap in your own apartment, but otherwise no complaints. If style over substance is more your thing and if unimportant things like the age of a property and other such superficialities are more important to you than value for money, this mightn't be the place for you. But if somewhere to sleep and a fully functioning kitchen and bathroom are what you're after during your time in Perth, the Burswood Lodge should be on your radar. If it's roomy, no-nonsense, unpretentious accommodation within a stone's throw of Perth's CBD you're looking for, it's hard to beat this place for the price.

Whilst this Lodge is well located, clean and spacious, it is OLD and looks nothing like the pictures. The gardens and some of the rooms look dilapidated. For the price it probably isn't worth your while.

We appreciate the positive comments from this guest.

It is certainly not accurate however to describe some of the rooms as 'delapidated'. We are not sure how the guest saw multiple other rooms unless they had booked more than one. Perhaps the guest was referring to the outside of the property.

Whilst the property was built around 1970, the interior of the apartments were refurbished in 2001 and again in 2007.

The photoraphs were taken following the 2007 refurbishment. So whilst the rooms are not as prisine as they were then, they are stiil in good condition.

For three star self-contained apartments, we feel the motel offers great value.
