We checked out the cafe before our fabulous hike, so we could think about some food and beer when we were finished. Everything looked so good and appreciated that the cafe had many local items (cheeses, etc..) After a fabulous hike, we were really , really looking forward to an ice cold beer. Seeing only one in the fridge, we desperately asked for another...... after attempting to make a 2nd choice, the staff came to the rescue with the last beer found in the back!! The extra effort was greatly appreciated. We had a snack of hummus \ crostini... Hummus was yummy, wished the crostini was a bit more fresh than giant croutons... but hit the spot. First time there, will definitely be back!!! Thank you Cafe Staff!!!

The deck of the Angel Island Cafe is one of the best locations in all of the Bay Area and thank heaven there is a great kitchen to go with it. It's not the usual hot dogs and hamburgers. The sandwiches and other dishes are original, delicious and well made. The lines are long but if you wait 15 or 20 minutes after the ferry comes in, you can easily order and they'll bring it out to you. Considering it's an island the prices are reasonable, good selection, and great food.

A great place to have lunch. Worth the trip. And on weekends during the season they have live music.

Stopped there for lunch after a tram tour around the island. Wasn't expecting much to be honest - there's nowhere else serving food on the island so I figured they could serve what they liked - but what an amazing place it was. The queue was long - there were a lot of us on the tour, but they got through the line quickly, remaining courteous to everyone they served. I thought there'd be a long wait for food, but again, they exceeded expectations and brought the food out quickly, and hot - we ordered hot sandwiches. Ok, so it was pricey, but the food was worth the price. Oh, and the views from the terrace were great too. Highly recommended. Thanks!

We were a group of 5 International traveling midlife women -- very particular --and we all loved the food (fresh salads, fragrant cheese platter with crostinis). And then the surprise of live music at 2 pm (a duo with a gravelly voiced rhythm'n'blues singer and guitar player) -- as we watched sailboats and the wind rippling the sun-dappled water -- perfect! And good prices, what could be better?
Thanks!

We've enjoyed several visits to Angel Island and have camped overnight at one of the few campsites there three summers in a row, it's one of the Bay Area's lesser known getaways! The Cafe & Cantina at the Cove is a favorite stop on our visits. The food is casual but delicious and includes burgers, wraps, and sandwiches. The staff is friendly and the view from one of the outside tables is great! Grab a cold one (or two!), some grilled shrimp, and relax after a day of exploring this island and its history! You won't regret the trip!
