“Great Getaway at a Good Price”
Reviewed 15 May 2014

I love staying in Tiburon, when I need my San Francisco fix. We always stay at the Lodge at Tiburon. It is quiet and within walking distance to everything in town. Rooms are very nice and quiet. Prices are reasonable. Best of all, I can take the ferry into the City. The hotel has a cute area for eating, and you can sit outside to watch the world pass. When I have my family join me, we all hang outdoors in the eating area, pull a bunch of chairs together and spend an evening eating and drinking wines. In front of the lobby, there is also a great sitting area, outside. Enough seats for a crowd, in the comfy chairs. Walk into the shopping area for any number of good eats. At six am, I am down the street for my espressos. I am a frequent visitor to this darling spot! I work hard, and this is the great relaxation!

Room Tip: I think most of the rooms are good, but the quietest ones are at the back of the hotel. They overloo...

Green Features: Water conservation is a must in California. The hotel tries to encourage guests to hold on to the towels.

Great location, very pleasant environment, Appreciated the on-site restaurant with outdoor heaters. Gas fireplace at rear of property was a welcome touch. Didn't use pool and spa, but they would be enjoyable in warmer weather.

stayed here for 3 nights the week before last while our company had a conference there. Its a lovely location and staff are very nice. Just a few things to note the walls are paper thin and we had to ask several times for the water feature to be switched off as it was keeping 3 of us awake at night after travelling from Europe, eventually they did. The rooms are a great size however would be great if they had a kettle for making tea in them, they used to give me hot water in a flask which was good of them. Food was fine, bar as nice however one evening when we returned after a dinner we had asked the bar manager for a few drinks for us as it was our last night and he refused, maybe its company policy but it would have been nice if he was less aggressive with us, in the end a very tall barman got us a bottle od wine so at least we could end our stay in the hotel on a high note. If in the area will stay here again.

Room Tip: ask for a room not overlooking the courtyard where the fountains are

Thank you for sharing your experiences with our Lodge. I am sorry that a water feature was malfunctioning during your stay. I appreciate you letting us know as we have fixed the issue. There is a law in California that has a time limit for bars to serve drinks but aggression is not something we condone and will take the appropriate action to ensure it does not happen again. A pleasure to hear you enjoyed your stay and our staff.

We look foward to having you again.

I gave this hotel a 3 rating ONLY because at $119 for the night, the price was very low for the area. If I had to pay full price and get the room they gave me, the rating would be a two. The lobby was very nice, but slightly confusing as to parking. The front desk clerk was not too helpful about offering up directions on where to park or how to get to the room. The room (#220) itself was kind of dumpy, there were stains on the floor and no locks on the windows. I complained about the window locks and they did send someone to fix it. It took about an hour and a half for them to accomplish this. The bed was kind of hard and the pillows too firm.

The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to downtown Tiburon, so that is a major plus. We had dinner downtown and thought we would stop in the hotel restaurant called the Tiburon Tavern and have a cocktail. It took over half and hour to get a drink...but that's another review....

We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights and really liked the rooms we had and the hotel in general. The best part was that our parking was free and we took the inexpensive ferry 1 way over to San Francisco to play for the day. We used the even less expensive F Train to move from pier to pier and then found our way back to Tiburon from a different pier. Wonderful stay!

Room Tip: The breakfast was okay but expensive. Coffee and tea were extra and $3. The shops in Tiberon were no...

Our stay was for a three day weekend event. The common areas of this hotel were very nice and the front desk staff couldn't have been nicer. The location was excellent, good access to Tiburon's small downtown area and the ferry to San Francisco. Nice bar and outside restaurant. The room was nice and clean, but the structure itself is dated. We were on the second floor and the walkway to the room was uneven in places and the corridor walkway had a slant. I think we tripped every time we came out of the room (OK - our problem, as we really should have remembered, but then the floor should have been level!) We did not have any trouble with noise as others have mentioned. The banquet dinner buffets were better than most hotels and the staff was fairly attentive.

Room Tip: Be sure and let the staff know in advance if you have any issues with small corridors or uneven surf...

The Lodge at Tiburon is a lovely hotel with an amazing restaurant! Our room was modern and spacious with a very comfortable king size bed, a spacious bathroom, and a balcony overlooking the pool. The view of the rolling hills was lovely. The hotel is walking distance to the downtown area where there are many shops and yummy restaurants. The restaurant at The Lodge also serves delicious food and a happy hour with free appetizers. The staff is friendly and helpful as well.

Room Tip: The rooms on the 3rd floor have balconies, making the room larger. There isn't an elevator but...
