Quaint and cozy. The only negatives are that they advertised feather beds and our bed was ROCK HARD - so I think the feather bed was missing from our room. Also, the walls are paper thin. Privacy is hard to come by.

Other than that, it is a nice place close to Dillon Beach and is charming.

Driving California's Highway 1 is a great experience. Very light traffic, beautiful vistas and charming small towns like Tamales (pronounced Tom-al-less, not Tom-al-lees per the Mexican food dish) are great places to stop for an evening's rest. The Continental is perfect for a great night's sleep. Comfortable beds, large, period decorated rooms, and a very helpful host. Before leaving town, don't miss the bakery across the street. Delicious pastries and the owners and employees are exceptional.

Super clean. Very charming. Quiet. Accommodating. Friendly. Even during a region wide power outage (which lasted a couple hours) they were super helpful. Also - they accepted our dog, which was a life saver the four other places we had passed would not - and we were running out of daylight. This place was such a great surprise. We enjoyed the stay!

We were looking for a place to stay the night that accepted pets and The Continental Inn was the first place we found. They were very nice and helpful. Moments after checking in the power went out in the town but everyone was super nice and helped us locate somewhere to eat dinner. The room was great and the beds were comfortable. I highly recommend staying here.

We were so glad to have stayed in this quaint B&B with it's comfy room (the rose garden room) for a 1 night stay. Wished we'd had more time as it was like being at home. Clean and had everything we needed. Booked this property online and not disappointed with our choice. If it was full we didn't hear anyone else. We left early in the morning so didn't take advantage of the breakfast offered and chose the little café across the street for some eggs and ham. Would definitely look at staying here if our travels take us in the vicinity again.

Had a great stay with two friends. We checked in late and they left the key out for us. The room was really nice and very clean. The continental breakfast was also pretty good. However, there's a cute little cafe across the street. Bonus, it's about 15 minutes from Dillon Beach.

Great weekend getaway stay while celebrating our anniversary in Tomales Bay. We were in the room right off the staircase. Room itself was cute, romantic, and completely SPOTLESS. Really comfy bed and cute appointments. Room overlooked the restaurant/bar next door - it got loud in the evening for a couple of hours but then the street/area was dead after like 9pm. Continental breakfast was upstairs on the landing, which gave us the opportunity to run out and get coffee in our pj's.

We stayed until Monday morning, and even though they don't offer breakfast during the week, they made coffee for us and left out 2 mugs for us. What a nice touch! Also, we only saw the receptionist ONCE - some may not like this but we loved it. This place felt private and intimate and we loved it.

Room Tip: Choose a room in the back for added quiet and privacy.
