“Great taste...Good portions”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2014

We've enjoyed dining at Joey's since it opened several years ago. As always, we were greeted with a friendly "Welcome to Joey's". As they advertise on a monthly basis with a coupon, we get there at least once a month, typically ordering the 2-meat plate, which has enough for each of us to eat half, and take the other half home for 2nd dinners.
The owner is usually there, greets you with a friendly smile, and, after you order at the counter, the service is great as they bring the food to your table and always ask if you need anything else.
The place is always clean (including the restrooms), and there are several big screen TV's to enjoy watching whatever sports are on. (Thankfully they keep the sound down so it isn't like a sports bar!)
We highly recommend dining at Joey's Smokin' BBQ!

“Good BarBQ”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 November 2013

This small frendly restaurant offers good value and very friendly service. The atmosphere is casual, sports bar type with wide screen TV's offering sports events. Very clean. Plenty of parking.

“Don't miss this place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 November 2013

So I went to meet someone in Torrance for lunch, she said lets go to California Chicken cafe, so we drove over and parked in the lot. As we were heading towards it, we accidentally saw Joeys Smokin BBQ.

It was such a great accident, the windows were covered so we almost missed it but we decided to try it instead.

Best choice! we had a Lunch Special, half rack of baby back ribs and a couple of sides each.

Foods came I ordered mine dry, that's the real way to tell if you have a quality product, ribs were fall off the bone great, perfectly cooked, I used the sauces as sides and they were great too. Cornbread, oh snap, great.

As great as the food is the service was as great.

So for a place we randomly tripped over, we were glad we did, or we could have had run of the mill same old thing Chicken a few doors down..

“Very good specials”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 September 2013

Everyday they have a special i.e. Monday's is a half slab of ribs and French fries. Their daily specials are definitely a value. Love their "sweet" sauce which is a surprise since I would normally like the spicy better. Definitely worth going to when hungry for BBQ.

“Best BBQ in the South Bay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 March 2013

Do not think twice about going ti Joey''s. We had Baby Backs, Pulled Pork and Beef Ribs. The flavor without adding sauce was a dream. Your choice of 3 different sauces made it hard to choose which one, they were all that good. The corn bread and mac and cheese were ex. The beef ribs were so meaty, which is very hard to find, was a treat. BB Backs are a Rib eaters dream. Pulled pork could have been a meal by itself. Do not even think of going back to Harry's, or the bbq place on Crenshaw and Lomita, (you know the name, I do too, but why mention them) Best BBQ in the South Bay.
