I have never been a huge fan of fish but once I came to Fish Bonz I discovered that I like the way they cook theirs so much I crave it and try to come by at least once a week! I've had their fish tacos tender chunks of fish in a satisfying mix of raw cabbage and spices, cradled in a soft but meaty corn tortilla- the tacos are generously portioned and one might be enough for some with a side dish.
My favorite meal is the grilled fish dinner and reasonably priced with a drink at under $10.00 - either in cajun spice or garlic butter. Served with rice or sweet potato fries and cole slaw along with a chunk of soft white bread to sop up the juices, the fish (I always get the ruffy but there are other choices) is always tender, meaty, and wholly satisfying. There usually isn't a crumb of anything left when I'm done and no bones, nothing that isn't delicious to eat. They have sustainable fish on the menu, the ruffy is an excellent choice for those people who don't like strong or 'fishy' fish. It's very mild with a subtle flavor. I'm so glad they have found a way to make fish-lovers out of so many, including me.
