I had honestly avoided Perko's as I thought it was probably an upscale Denny's. I was surprised. Indeed, it is comfort food, but done well. It is a good value. Would be a good place for families. Much like Applebee's, but no loud bar; much more quiet.

Although Perkos does a very creditable job throughout the day, they really shine at breakfast, where the cooks just seem to be able to execute your every wish. I like my hash-brown or country potatoes on the crispy side, and for some reason, Perko's seems to be the only restaurant in town that knows what the hell "crispy" means. They always get it right, along with the rest of the breakfast menu. The eggs are always just exactly the way you want them, and you can even get your toast burned a little. The wait staff is a little pressed, so bring a friend for conversation, or your smart phone so you could play 'candy crush' or something similar. But the upside to this is that they are not overly quick to push you out the door like some restaurants are. Their lunches and dinners are good and you can usually find something to please everyone. I have never been disappointed with either the food or the friendly service.

I like Perko's. It is always the same standard diner food that can be compared to a Denny's. The prices have gone up recently, but all in all they are worth a visit from time to time. The real draw seems to be the Senior Menu. The average age of a customer is well into the senior range.

Food, Staff, and the ice cream...
Be sure to check the Hours as they do not stay open super late!
Love the home cooked food and neighborhood feel to the restaurant- a must stop if you're hungry!

Great place for Saturday or Sunday breakfast with friends. The food is good and the service is very good, we never feel hurried even when there is a line. Great place to talk and enjoy friends company.
