We spent our first two nights of our holiday at the Horse Guards. Feeling very jet lagged, having come from Australia, Arthur made us very welcome. Loved the rooms and possibly the best shower I've ever had! Lovely soft towels and brilliant bed. Very tastefully decorated. The first night I had an excellent chicken and leek pie, and the next night was steak night with a good red wine at bargain prices. Steak was great and cooked rare as requested. A great base to explore the Cotswolds. I totally recommend it as a place to both stay and eat. An added bonus was the wonderful weather. Loved walking around in the sunshine.
