Cute place, very family-oriented cottage in a quiet town. The best part? We woke to Seal lions barking! The cottage was across the street from the oceanfront view, so we couldn't see the rocks/beach but you could hear the seals, which was great. And the kitchenette was a welcome break from the carbo-filled continental breakfasts of chain hotels. A beautiful and flowery setting, we enjoyed our stay!

I don't think there was any temperature control-it was chilly in the morning, so beware of that.

Room Tip: There is also a campground among redwood trees in the back of this lodge-equipped with a laundry roo...

Beds were comfortable, the hot tubs were kept nice and hot all the time and seemed to be regularly cleaned if a bit heavy on the chlorine. After a long hike or drive sitting in your own hot tub was nice. It was in a small enclosed area adjacent to our cabin and had a sky light. The location was convenient to the Redwood national park and adjacent state parks. The manager was very nice. The furnishings were a bit on the old side, but its a cabin so its expected. There are outside lights that light up the inside of the cabin at night, but they turn off at 10:30 pm.

We stayed in Cabin 3 with a private hot tub. The cabin was awesome! Everything was clean and modern. The furniture was new, the hot tub was new (and very very clean). I can't say enough about how great the cabin was. It had a full kitchen with a smaller (gas) stove, toaster, microwave, pans, dishes, full size coffee maker, napkins, paper towels, butcher knives, etc. A few spices would have been nice, although they did have salt and pepper. We brought steaks to BBQ and were given a nice gas BBQ to use at our cabin. The bed was comfortable, but I would have liked a little firmer mattress and a larger bed. I'm used to a King. But, nothing to complain about. The hot tub was in a private enclosed area adjacent to the cabin and there were extra towels and also a CD player and radio. It had a deck with a view of the ocean. It was quiet and private. We had a great time and will definitely be back!

Room Tip: Cabin 3 very modern and clean. Perfect for 2. TV is nice, WIFI signal good. Great deck.

We stayed here four nights while on our Redwood forest trip. Good location for state parks along coast; 15 minute drive to most Redwood National Park areas (but there's not many places to stay in or near the park). Short drive to Trinidad coast and restaurants. Very clean. Excellent ocean view from cabin #2. Spacious kitchen. Furniture and decor a little older and not as comfortable of a bed as we had expected. But, overall, it was a very good stay. Nothing beats having breakfast and dinner on the porch overlooking the ocean.

Room Tip: Cabin #2 has a great view.

We stayed one night in 1B....a very foggy night, felt a little eerie in the middle of the countryside. The setting was nice, service was ok, our cabin was less so.....mostly just an aging property that could do with a few small touches (carpets and rugs cleaned, bathroom re-caulked).

We stayed in cottage 10 for two days. It was clean, comfortable, and supplied everything we needed for cooking our meals. This particular cottage looked as if it had been newly remodeled.
I also liked the fact that it had a nice deck that didn't face all of the other decks which led to some privacy. Very cute.

We had a wonderful stay here. Our cabin was the perfect size for my husband and I. It has a full kitchen and fridge, a bedroom with a comfortable queen bed and a bathroom. It also has a little living room area with a love seat and a recliner (and a flat screen TV with cable). Great internet coverage. Just outside the front door is a nice porch...then a big lawn with a picnic table. We enjoyed some wine out there looking at the ocean, the sun setting and listening to the seals barking on the rocks below in the ocean. While there is not a full ocean view, there is an ocean view. We'd stay here again!
