As a relatively new Mexican restaurant in Tustin, my wife and I were anxious to give it a try. What a disappointment! Although there is plenty of parking in the generous lot adjoining the restaurant, there were also plenty of seating in the mostly empty eating area, inside. This is one of those "we make it like you want it" places, and you go down the line saying "yes, I want black beans, not pinto" or "no, please hold the onions" as the plate you ordered is made up for you. Sounds good so far, doesn't it?
But when you get to the table and begin to eat, you find that you have to get up and go get a fork. You sit down, and then remember that you'll net to get up and get a napkin. And then you begin to actually eat . . . only to find that there is practically no taste! That is, nothing exciting in the spices or seasoning, at all. Eating the "home made" torillas was like eating cardboard. The beans were meally. All in all, very disappointing.
