We just had lunch here after a Segway and Kayaking trip which was run from the (www.aquaterraclub.com - highly recommended) offices across the road.

We sat outside under the trees with a cool refreshing breeze keeping us cool and it was pure heaven. The salads were lovely but it was the setting that made it so lovely. Even though the hotel is right on the road only about 4 cars passed during our lunch.

We did not look at the rooms but I would imagine it would be a good place to stay too.

We went to Vall de Sau for some Kayaking, which was great by itself. The operators office is just next to the hotel. The lake itself is beautiful. The valley has been flooded mid 20th century, there is actually still a church tower to be paddled to in the middle of it. Our guide recommended to stay and have lunch in Hotel la Riba. Well he recommended a fantastic place...
We did not stay overnight, but chose to have lunch and stay a little longer for the afternoon to enjoy the views.
The food was simply amazing. They are known and pride themselves for their meats from the cows freely roaming around the huge properties. We had the Filet and the Entrecote. No doubt, the most tasteful and tender meat I had in years living in Spain.

If you are looking for a quiet getaway and enjoy the nature, this is the place to go around Barcelona.

Give it a shot
