If your looking to relax and enjoy some great tasting food, this is the place for you. From the old buildings to the Peacocks the roam freely, you will enjoy what the City has to offer.

If you want to feel the experience, I suggest you take a walk through the Temple.

“A Photographer's Dream”
Reviewed 27 April 2013

Walking into the City of Ten Thousand Buddha's with a camera, is similar to a three year old walking into a candy store without parents. Free and Amazing. Give yourself some time to really mosey through the property and absorb a world unlike your own. You can walk anywhere, and the residents are very friendly as well as all the 30 plus peacocks wondering around. My husband and I rode our Harley in, parked it, and spent almost two hours enjoying the community, the shrines, the peacocks, the gift shop and the history. No flash photography or photos during the Buddhist ceremony. A small vegan restaurant on the property with limited hours. A must see!!

“TERRIFIC vegan food even for non vegans”
Reviewed 13 April 2013

On the grounds is a wonderful temple and many charming plantings and wandering peacocks. In the little modest but charming restaurant the food is so fragrant and fresh you will never miss not having meat. I suggest the eggplant and basil dish as well as the seaweed wrap and so many other wonderful choices. Very reasonable and yummy. Now if you are a person who likes request to change everything you eat you may want to find another place it just doesn't work like that here, try Berkley. Only bad time to come is Chinese New Year it is a very long wait to get in.
