Excellent experience at the Best Western Orchard Inn, in Ukiah . On our way through Lake County for an overnight party. Convenient location, good breakfast in the morning. Only a little noisy. Good staff, clean room and attractive furnishings. Easy access to the freeway.

We drove for over 8 hours to reach Ukiah, California, so we wouldn't have to drive the following day to reach the memorial service we were attending. We have stayed in Best Western Plus inns before and have been satisfied. This time, not so much. There was only ONE bath towel, ONE wash cloth and ONE bar of soap -- and no shampoo. The room was very stuffy, and when we turned the AC on, it cycled off after only a few minutes. The front desk sent up more towels, etc after we called them, but it should have been up to par BEFORE we entered the room. I got around the AC problem by actually turning the temp UP a few degrees -- then it would cycle off, but would turn back on in a minute. The AC definitely needed servicing. The shower was ok if you were VERY tall; not a problem for me but my wife could barely reach the showerhead... and it was too stiff to change angles. And one last thing -- security! Both outside doors, besides the lobby, were UNLOCKED and UNLATCHED the entire night. Anyone could enter without a card key. What security? We made sure our room door was locked AND latched. We did OK with this room for one night, but it was far below our expectations based on our previous good experiences with other BW Inns. Hopefully this review will wake up the management :)

Room Tip: Next to highway 101... pick a room away from the road for less road noise.

Best Westerns are always hit and miss. I try to avoid them when possible. Didn't have a choice so we stayed here. It doesn't have an elevator. Rooms were so-so. Pretty pricey, but it was during the summer so that is to be expected I suppose.

We normally stay at HIE but could find none with vacancy on a Saturday night. Tried Best Western. Front desk clerk was very nice and helpful. Rooms ok but not quite the standards we are used to at most HIE's. Price with tax was $188 which was ridiculous!!! Room reeked of cigarette smoke for 2 reasons. On the second floor, half the rooms are smoking and half non-smoking and if people smoke outside under your air conditioning unit then you get to share their cigarette smoke. Breakfast was good. We expected to pay more like $80 per night for a place like this and this experience has reminded us that we need to make reservation days to weeks in advance to not get stuck in a situation like this again.

this place is so overpriced I don't know where to start. Whoever is running this POS should be forced to live here for a week, and eat the supposedly nutritious breakfast. one last thing -- the hot tub water was grey. I guess that was supposed to be a warning, not an invitation, about taking a hot tub.

This hotel was easy to find, clean, comfortable and great for the price we paid.

Rooms were large, clean and had great amenities. The pool area was beautiful and well kept. Location was close to lots of different dining options. The staff were friendly and helpful. Free breakfast in the morning was delicious and plentiful.

Great hotel in a great little city.

Would recommend this Hotel to anyone. Rooms were very good, clean, comfortable, far enough from fwy that I did not hear any traffic noise. Staff friendly and professional. The breakfast was good. Had plenty of food and was well maintained, clean and stocked well. Parking left a little to be desired as I was driving a Ford F250 Long WB and it was rather backing out with other vehicles close in.
