We arrived late and since traveling with a baby that usually sleeps with my wife we were looking for either a king bed or double queen beds. Since they have no king beds the only option was a suite with two queen beds for $249. The room was lovely with hardwood floors, good beds and tasteful decor. The springs themselves are maybe for history buffs or people who sincerely believe in the healing powers, but we felt a little renovation would enhance the experience.
However, the old concrete tubs had their own charm and in combination with the hot tub it was quite an experience: it was cold (early March) and raining hard, but the spring-fed tubs and the hottub were nice and warm and you could gaze at the mossy trees and listen to the nearby stream. The breakfast buffet was nice (although the room was a bit drab compared with our suite). Overall a good experience, although we felt $249 in early March (the resort felt 70% empty) was a bit overpriced.
