We stayed her for 3 nights because it was close to Discovery Kingdom and San Francisco. Worst stay ever. We had to ask for 3 days for towels. People coming and going at all hours of the night and slamming doors. They had security but we never saw them. The room said non smoking but the rooms on both sides of us were smoking rooms. Every time I went in the bathroom I could smell smoke. Tiny pool. Don't let the pictures fool you. The shower had a mind of it's own and kept changing it's own temperature. The elevator was out of order so they did discount our room since it was on the third floor. I won't go back.

This motel was a bit of a disappointment. When we arrived, there were men coming out of the rooms with beer and other drinks in paper bags. A woman in high heels and short-shorts was walking around the parking lot probably servicing the construction workers. We were a bit concerned and asked the desk if this was a safe place for an older couple passing through. We were told that the men were construction working in the area and that they were not a threat. We had no quarrel with hard working men having a few beers and decided to stay if we could at least see a room. The desk clerk was pleasant and agreed to show us a couple of rooms on the ground floor. Our inspection showed that they were clean enough, but they still smelled of heavy smoke despite the "no smoking" signs.
We decided to stay for the night but sprayed the place with Lysol to try to get rid of the smoke. It did not work. We soldiered through it and picked up another room in San Fransisco the next night. The next morning next to our car we noticed dog feces. However, the motel people were nice and even offered to help us in with our bags. Price was OK for the San Fransisco/Napa area, but could be lower for what you get.

I can not beleive that Motel 6 has the nerve to post a tripadvisor sign on their office door. Do they think that by putting up that sign it gives them some street cred at the next hotel convention?.If they want to provide a place for people to complain about them so be it. The first thing my wife and I did was almost pass out from the horrible oder in the room. There are no words to describe the smell. We purchased a can lysol and sprayed the room using almost the entire can. We left for a few hours to eat and drive around. The lysol did its thing quite well and the room was bearable as long as we sprayed some more the next day. The second problem was the comode did not refill after flushing so I had to use the ice bucket and pour water into the tank to make it work. It was a holiday weekend and all rooms were full, they said they would have someone look at it the next day but the next day was their day off so I continued to fill the tank with water from the tub.
The third thing there appeared to be a very tough crowd of people hanging around the area so be careful. The fourth thing we had 1 towel and 1 soap and no wash cloth. The fifth thing--am I starting to make the picture clear yet folks---the bed was ???? well I have run out of ways to say bad so I will say bad. The only half way good news is the room price is cheap but still not worth what they charge at this location. Also the front desk people were nice but their hands are tied and they can only do so much.

Room Tip: I could not find a good room but perhaps top floors quieter

A typical Motel 6 but nicely located very close to Six Flags and the Fairgrounds. Also a good, cost-effective base for days in Napa wine country less than 30 minutes away. Pool is not heated and can be a little brisk in off season. Ice machine in lobby is a little out of the way. Don't forget the Jelly Belly factory with free tours. Go on a weekday to really see the candies being made and packaged.

Clean, great area to potty the dogs and close to the fairgrounds, site of the dog show. Very sparse amenities. The toilet seat did have a cover. They charge for WiFi!! I do not think I would return, even though it is close to restaurants and other shopping. Security was good, however people arriving late at night made a lot of noise and woke me up.

Staff was awesome. Rooms were a bit small but ok. They had no extra towels to give us and not enough towels for the fir ppl in the room. Price was a bit high for what you get. All other hotels were booked so we got this one but w would have rather stayed with a jacuzzi and breakfast. The staff made it all worth while though they were all very nice.
