“Lovely Hotel!”
Reviewed 8 August 2011

My family stayed here at Easter when we were visiting a relative nearby. We really enjoyed it. The room was spacious and quiet. The pool and gym were good but the real jaw dropper here is the lobby. Its absolutely gorgeous - beautiful plantings, koi ponds, just a wonderful place to relax. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is absolutely outstanding - nothing continentl about it; omelets cooked to order and jst about anything else you could want. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend it!

Not sure how they give you this much hotel at this price. Great rooms, big TV's, warm and new decor. Breakfast was a big hit - omelets made to order, and plenty of food. Walk to BART across the street and you're in downtown San Fran for less than you'd pay for gas and parking. Parking is valet only, so be prepared to add a few $$ to your budget.

The hotel is quite beautiful, warm and welcoming. But the location is not fabulous, and the construction on the street makes it worse.

This hotel is so crammed into all the other buildings and businesses there is no room to self park......it's Valet only. So on a busy family reunion weekend, we couldn't just park the car, change and leave. We had to wait in the valet line, give the keys and inform them we were going to leave again in moments, go upstairs, immediately call down for the car to be brought up, change clothes, ride the elevator down and wait for 10 minutes while they got our car. Not convenient.

The free breakfast is VERY good with made to order omelets.....but only if you have an hour to wait in line for your food. The restaurant is not laid out very well as the buffet side is at the front, then the looooong line of people waiting for their eggs and pancakes, then around the corner is a room for beverages, fruit and pastries. So you have to make 3 trips just to get your meal. We went in as a family and sent one person to the eggs and cakes, one to get drinks and another to the buffet. By the time the cakes and eggs member of our group came back with the food, the rest was cold.

We called down for room service on the 2nd morning and found they don't provide room service for breakfast.

The shower was interesting. You had to be inside the glass shower enclosure to turn on the water, then jump outside again while the water warmed up. But the bedroom was a nice size, the bed comfortable and the dining table came in handy. And my kids really enjoyed the pool.

I might again, it's just not as convenient as I would like. And I really do like hot food in the morning.

room was nice food was good, managers special, wonderful. just like every embassy suites i stayed at i was impressed. close to highway and bart, getting around the bay area on the bart is easy and safe.
make sure you get a room away from the bart its a lil loud not as loud as a nyc subway but will wake you up at night.
the bart parking garage is $1 a day a lil cheaper then the hotel i found this out after i got home, you may want to check it out.

We really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was a great start to the day. A little crowded on the weekend and sometimes hard to find a table, but there was always plenty of food. Rooms were nice and spacious, bed was very comfortable. Pool was nice, and everyone on staff was very helpful and kind. I also usually don't like shampoo/conditioner products in hotels, but I really liked the brand here.
Valet services were free because our stay was 7 nights. BART was convenient and close by.
Our only complaint would be that the maid would only leave decaf coffee in our room. By the end of the week we had a huge stack of decaf and had to keep asking the front desk for regular.
Overall we were very pleased with the deal we got and if we ever came back to the area, we would stay again!

We stayed here while in town for our niece's wedding. The staff was very helpful, rooms were clean and nice. We arrived very late and when checking in forgot to ask for a non smoking room. The hotel was full, so we stayed where we were for the night (it wasn't terrible) but the staff was very accomodating the next day, and we were moved to a nonsmoking room near the rest of our family. Their complimentary full hot breakfast can't be beat! Omelets, pancakes, waffles, eggs, etc. We were also impressed with their workout room. They had several machines - the elipticals had their own personal tvs - and there were quite a variety of weights and other equipment. Most hotels have a couple of treadmills. We enjoyed the manager's reception in the evening with free drinks and appetizers. The hotel is close to the freeway and bart as well as amazing shopping. Our room was quiet and very comfortable. This was our second time staying here, and we hope to come back.

Valet service only - about $15 per day parking. Managers cocktail party from 5:30 to 7:30 PM - nicely done. Pool, spa, workout room, business room, suites are very nice and recently remondeled. In fact, entire hotel remodeled lately. All employees aim to please and so manager must be doing his job of training. BART 1 block away. Very easy to get to trains to San Fran and airport etc. I stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed being there and would definitely go back again. P.S. The free breakfast is excellent.

Room Tip: Suites sleep about 4 if needed.
