Staying at embassy suites is always a treat with the hosted cocktail hour and breakfast included. And the atrium is always relaxing. . . Well almost.

We got a great rate of $122.

There is also a shuttle that goes to Downtown Walnut Creek.

The bad luck:

Valet parking is mandatory $18.

There was a cheer convention/kids thing. . . I don't know what. When we got back to hotel at 11pm there was a zillion kids running around hotel being loud. This would not have been bad, but the bar closes early and we had no way to escape.

Security tried to catchup with them. It was comical watching security go up in the glass elevator while the kids come down in a different elevator. Bad Luck.

Bed was also lumpy.

Housekeeping keyed in despite late check out.

To be fair, I would stay again at that rate, after all, it is am Embassy Suite.

NorCalNic, Thank you for taking time to share your review regarding your recent stay with us. We are happy to hear about the positives during your stay and are glad to know that you'll choose to stay with us again. The hotel's garage is valet only due to it being limited in size, though it is not mandatory as there are other parking options in the area guests may choose to park if they don't wish to valet. Our hotel does impose "Quiet Time" after 10pm, though I apologize that one of the groups staying with us caused a disturbance. I've shared this information with our MOD's to follow up with future groups. We look forward to having you back on a future visit to the Bay Area! Best Regards,

I stayed here because this hotel was half the price of hotels in San Francisco and in the center of my trips for the week. The hotel was clean and convienient to the BARC train. The hotel was loud when the trains went by. They should have done something to better insulate the sound like other hotels have.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms away from the trains.

Hello - thank you for your review. BART is a very convenient way to commute to San Francisco, Oakland or Berkeley for a day of shopping, viewing our great sports teams and theater. We hope that you will stay again and ask for a room away from the BART train.

All in all I would give the Walnut Creek, CA, Embassy Suites an 8 or 9 out of 10. Just to be picky; the pool could be warmer in winter. As well, more than 2 coffees in the room would be nice. My dinner (paid) was delicious - although they forgot my salad (but I was happy I did not get it because I was full anyway). ***Also, I understand that employees want to go home and can relate. It was about 20 minutes until closing time but for about 10 minutes someone stood and watched us eat while holding a vacuum.*** The breakfast (made fresh/omelet) was better than bad (very friendly chefs by the way!) Although the second morning we just went to the buffet to save some time; it was cold and all that was left were scraps. I am not sure if this is just a lot of complaining or not, but overall it was a great experience. I have a customer service background and figured it would be helpful. I will definitely be back. (Location got an average because there is only valet parking (18 dollars per night) no parking lot/self parking) Also, it was a family night the first night and couples night the second... perfect for both

Great value for the price. Located right next to the BART station. Lots of excellent shopping and restaurants near by. inviting and relaxing lobby and nice evening reception. Embassy Suites are a really good for a nice get away for two people or a family as they offer two separates rooms, in room coffee, microwave and refrigerator. I highly recommend staying at this hotel.

Love this hotel. It's clean, comfortable, and the staff is very nice and helpful. We live close by and still stay here once in awhile. My kids love the pool and the breakfast. I'd highly recommed this hotel to anyone travelling to the Walnut Creek area.

This place would charge you for towels if it could. I came here to find there was an 18 dollar mandatory valet charge! 18 DOLLARS! Wasn't even discounting for those who booked a suite in the hotel! Are you serious? Hotel staff was rude and indifferent when this was made aware to them. They had no interest in making me happy. Same story with wifi. No free wifi - are you serious? Do not stay.

Just recently returned from a return visit to the Embassy Suites in Walnut Creek, California. The hotel is a great choice for the Bay Area. All the rooms are two bedroom suites. Living area has sofa or sofa bed, with nice size table, easy chair, small fridge and microwave, sink, good bathroom, and comfortable beds in bedroom, and two TVs. Cooked breakfast made to order every morning plus complimentary happy hour with nibbles in the evening are both really nice. All the staff - from housecleaning to front desk, restaurant to bar, are great - very helpful and very friendly. The location, across the street from Pleasant Hill BART, puts the entire Bay Area within easy reach without a car. Great for commuting into San Francisco ($10 round trip to downtown SF), including coming out and returning to airports in either SF or Oakland. Some might object to resulting noise from BART, but it never bothered me, and trains end by midnight. The price, including breakfast and happy hour, makes it a fantastic buy, especially compared to hotel prices in San Francisco.

Room Tip: Upper rooms on the front of the hotel have good views of Mount Diablo, but are closest to BART.

Hello visitor from London! We are so happy that you enjoyed your visit to the States and chose our hotel. Your wonderful description of the hotel and the area were perfect and you are spot on regarding the high rates in San Francisco, not to mention the very expensive parking garages there. We hope when you return to the area you choose Embassy Suites as your home away from home!
