Went to woolpack inn for Sunday lunch, booked table for 1o'clock.You are given a number when you go in and wait to be called to the carvery. Booking makes no difference we waited patiently for our turn we were called just after 2 o'clock. When we got to the counter we were told there were scraps of beef and gammon or turkey potatoes and veg no yorkshire puddings left either.
We opted for a refund which we were given. They were not bothered and no apology forthcoming, but there was an offer to cook some sausages. We went back to table to finish our drinks and were discussing the service and treatment we were given. The carver came over to our table still carrying his carving knife told us to stop slagging him off he would refund our drink money and we were to leave immediately and never come back. In my opinion he was very aggressive. Would not want to go back worst place we have ever been, can't comment on the food never got to try it.More
