A few weeks ago we had been out for the day and on the way home my husband remembered that our son had been to this restaurant and said it was very good. I have to be honest at first sight I wasn't overly impressed by the outside but as the saying goes you should never judge a book by it's cover and on entering the premises we were very pleasantly surprised. We immediately felt at home and the staff were all very attentive. We hadn't pre-booked so the man said he would have to check if they had a table. He apologised a few times for keeping us waiting but to be honest it was only 2-3 minutes. A girl then came and brought us to our table. She took our drinks order straight away and brought us the menus. Lots of main courses to choose from and the desserts were excellent. The girl who waited on us took time to chat and with it being our first time there this helped us relax. In the past we've found it quite awkward if we've wanted to give a tip, do we leave it on the table or what do we do. They have a plate sitting at the till for tips so it's easy just to slip something on without the drama. This place has great service, great food, great staff, great atmosphere and good value for money, what more could you ask for. We will definitely be back very soon and will be recommending it to our family and friends. We all know Ireland has many hidden gems and I definitely think this is one of them.
