These cabins are not as isolated as the website suggests, however compared to staying in the valley, they were a respite to all the people at Yosemite. There is a partial view of the Merced River (there's a large house behind this cabin which has the better view). However, really it didn't matter. The cabin was comfortable for 2 and apparantly the sofa would open for another bed, if you had children. Kitchen had everything you would need and there was an amazing gas grill on patio. We stopped in Manteca and bought groceries and ate all meals at cabin. I will say that even though you are in Yosemite, it does take about an hour to drive to the Valley. These cabins are very close to the Mariposa Grove and the Giant Sequoias are amazing. The staff at Redwoods was very nice, they do not come to your cabin during your stay, but you can stop at the office and get more towels, soap, extra pillows anytime they are open (they close around 5pm). There is a gas station (expensive) and small grocery there as well. It's a no frills cabin, but it is comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay there because Yosemite is an amazing place to be.
