I bought a groupon deal for $12 which included two hot dogs and two sides (fries or salad). So we got two dogs and two fries, then I changed my order to a salad. My mistake I guess though because the waitress still brought the fries and charged me for the salad. I got the veggie hot dog which was really gross. I was with two guys and they thought everyone was fine as far as the food goes. So it wasn't horrible but I won't go back.

Coney Dog is the West Coast version of Detroit's famous Lafayette Coney Island hot dogs. Opened late last year by several well-known former Detroiters such as Mike Binder, Tim Allen and Sam Raimi along with professional athletes and Adam Sandler because he's a friend, Coney Dog duplilcates as closely as possible the special culinary treat that is the Lafayette dog. Starting with a hot dog (of high quality, they boast), smothered in chili (as close to the Lafayette recipe as possible) and onions, the Coney Dog is truly a feast for the taste buds. Unlike the Detroit institution, however, LA's Coney Dog offers a wider menu fitting for Southern Californian's...turkey dogs, veggie dogs, veggie chili, salads, hamburgers, etc. The food is downright cheap, and a great value for the money. The place is lively, bright and the people are friendly. It's a unique dining experience and one that you'll return to repeatedly!
