We stayed for two nights to kick off our Californian tour and certainly feel we made the right choice. Check in was very easy and quick, the staff were very helpful and answered all our questions about the area and helped us book our tours and guided us with places to eat.
The rooms are minimalistic but spotlessly clean, well equipped with very comfortable beds. I was pleasantly surprised to find non-alcoholic be beverages and snacks were complimentary, nice touch! Our room 1124 overlooked the hillside at the rear with pleasant views of the residential area. The Hotel is ideally situated for exploring LA and easy to get to...unless Obama is in town, in which case the traffic was chaos for the whole area. Our only disappointment was the parking at $34 a day which we weren't aware of, but felt we had no choice, however it was a Valet service.
To conclude, a great hotel with interesting history that I would recommend.More
