One of the tastiest burgers in town. Totally worth paying a visit. If you have a chance, try the "Golden Rush" burger - truly unique.

West Sacramento is not known for five star grub, but it seems like the scariest places you take a chance on in this burg never leave you disappointed. This place is a fine example. The exterior is a cobbled, single story brick building from three or four generations earlier when this area of town was indeed called Broderick and rough and tumble. You slip into the front door with need of a miner's helmet with choice of small bar area and slightly larger dining room for seating. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The menu is Costco style with few choices, BUT it is clear that the basic American fair is loaded with thought and quality management. Hamburgers, fries, mac n cheese, salads, vegetarian menu, and beverages. My hubby and I came in for burgers. Speaking for my meal experience, I got their basic burger dish for $10 and I could barely finish it. Large amounts. The meat was broiled perfectly to my taste, the lettuce was green and fresh, the pickles on it...which I don't usually go for...were out of this world and not from an industrial can. Napkins and utensils come to you via a tin can. Cute touch. The check comes to you via a jar. Practical. Waitresses don't bug you, but are ready with refills of your beverage. There are a few barflies, but many more families and quiet conversations. Bathrooms are clean albeit ancient. Not a first date venue, but a wonderful place to relax and wattle out satisfied. Would highly suggest not having your annual blood work done after this experience! In fact, wait a week and drink lots of water! Charming, full of character, money and time well spent!

You won't find a better burger or sandwich in the area. The wait for your order make take around ten to fifteen minutes but you will be more than happy with the results. They come with great fries, bacon, cheeses, mac and cheese and just about anything else you would want. The bar is super and the beer selection is constantly changing. Staff is excellent all around from servers, bartenders and management. The place looks like an old bar, which it was, the noise level can be high when the place is full, the parking lot is bumpy and seems to be evolving, but the food is of the highest quality and the service can't be beat.

Service may slow, but only when the crowds are huge and there is standing room only. The place seems just fine for kids and families. Prices may be higher than a fast food joint but the quality of the product is significantly higher.

Best burger ever! Has bacon, plus crispy onion strings, and bluuuuuuu cheese.
Great renovation of an old bucket of blood, this restaurant is gathering more and more crowds as the weeks go on.

Great bar, great staff.

One drawback: the noise level from hell.

Yummy food and yummy drinks. I recommend the chicken wings, ban mi fries, or any of the burgers. I didn't dig the mac and cheese so much-- sounds better on the menu than in actuality. My wife is a sucker for the Wicked Punch-- too sweet for me though. Nice beer selection and a good vibe from staff and decor. Don't forget to check the walls for items not in the menu.

Enjoy!
