“Diverse menu offerings”

Set in an upscale shopping center with a diversity of boutiques, Farfalla in Westlake Village offers both casual & upscale Italian food in either inside or patio dining. I've twice now really enjoyed the spinach salad with seared ahi tuna & portobello mushrooms, it's tossed with an apple cider vinaigrette which really blends all the flavors together well. The tomato soup is served in an enormous bowl and is made fresh daily. The staff does not rush you, so you can sit and talk without feeling pressured. It's conveniently located off the 101 freeway, so for us it's a great meeting spot when we are coming from Orange County and meeting family from Santa Barbara.

“Last chance”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 March 2014 via mobile

Just had lunch here and I'm officially done with this place. I ordered the lobster martini. It was overloaded with a bland dressing. No flavor! The lobster consisted of a bunch of spindly legs with not one piece of lobster tail. Add a few hearts of palm and you get what is essentially and overpriced cup of nothing!
I felt the same way last time I ate here. Ripped off and unsatisfied. Never again.

“Very Well Done Italian in a Casual Atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 November 2013

Farfalla has become a pretty regular stop for my wife and I. It is located in a very modern shopping center in Westlake Village, CA - an upscale area with many, many good restaurants. Farfalla is both good and reasonably priced.
Owned by the same people as Galetto Bar and Grille nearby, Farfalla is a casual place with an upscale appearance. Indoors, there is a bar and some tables (including a large common table) near the front of the room, with booths in the back. it can get noisy on weekend evenings, but it is a very friendly crowd. There is covered outdoor seating as well, which is very nice.
Open for lunch and dinner, the food is Italian and Italian-influenced by California Cuisine. There are wonderful salads, great pastas and pizza (my favorite place for pizza in the area), and a variety of entrees with specials every evening. There are also have a "Mozzarella Bar" involving a large container that looks like a cheese wheel on a cart and looks entertaining, but which I have not tried.
The waiters are almost all from Italy and they tend to be very handsome. They are also very friendly and skilled.
There is an excellent wine list which is heavy toward Italian wines (including many that are hard to find) and, of course, California wines.

“Good food, Overpriced”

The food was tasty, but the prices are steep for what you get. Granted, Westlake is a high-rent district :)
