I always stay here a couple times a year when my house is being painted. I request a mini suite with a fire place and ask for a golf course view (upstairs). The staff is professional and the grounds are beautiful. Take a bath in the over sized tub and have a nice quiet night on a very comfortable feather bad.

Room Tip: get a room upstairs across from golf course

This is a very beautiful hotel, lovely grounds, well decorated. But our stay was somewhat dissappointing. My husband booked a suite with jacuzzi tub for our wedding night. The suite was large with a living room and fireplace and outdoor patio. It was pretty, but the jacuzzi was just the regular bathtub with sliding glass doors and jacuzzi jets. Not what we were expecting for the price, which wasn't cheap. Little things were annoying, like either of the two sinks in the bathroom wouldn't hold water because the drain plugs were faulty, and we couldn't turn the gas fireplace on and had to call someone to do it. Later, the same thing again with the fireplace, so we just said forget it. In the morning we called room service for breakfast on the patio. While we were eating a very noisy machine was being used on the grounds next to our room, and then the gardener came with a blower for the leaves and we had to ask him to please come back later so we could enjoy our breakfast. The patio issues were just bad luck I suppose, but the indoor issues were annoying for this caliber hotel. We checked into the hotel in our wedding clothes and I was holding my bouquet. Would it have killed the person at the desk to say "Congratulations" or welcome us in some way? Instead, he kept talking to his co worker in the back and said "Just a minute" without looking at us when we said "Hello" to get his attention. Overall, this hotel was just an "okay" experience. I wouldn't call it 4 star. I gave it 3 stars because it is beautiful and the food was good. I doubt I'd stay there again, or recommend it highly to anyone.

Spent three nights here around Halloween. Really liked the ambience and setting of the property. Very impressed with the service I got at the front desk. Would definitely like to come back!

This location has beautiful grounds and excellent service...but the room I stayed in was not updated and had a leaking roof so I was unable to take a nice bath as planned. The service people jumped on the problem but couldn't do anything until the am. Also the appetizers from room service were mediocre. Don't order the caprese salad. The morning room service was much better!

Went for a wedding. Rooms were large and had balconies overlooking the grounds.Older rooms with no plugs on desk for your devices. Did get wifi on the grounds Very nice landscaping. Ideal wedding location. Restaurant catered a dinner and the reception everything was very nice. Went to Bogies bar on Friday it was pretty quiet but Saturday night was packed with a band and large crowd. Jumpin'. Location not near major attractions. Went to the Reagan library and recommend it to

Westlake Village Inn is a beautiful Medditeranean village in the heart of Thousand Oaks, CA. Tuscan Gardens surround the property while a meandering stream flows through it. Set on a golf course, full of fountains, lake and flowers. Perfect location for a wedding, honeymoon or quick romantic getaway. Rooms are very large with the most comfortable beds ever! Bathrooms and very large with double vanity and all amenities. Our standard room in the Mirabella complex had a fireplace and veranda with table and chairs. There is a beautiful swimming pool with lounge chairs, cabanas and umbrella tables and 2 fabulous restaurants. I could live here!

The property and the rooms are just beautiful, well appointed. Very romantic. I don't know who owns this property, but clearly they do not know how to run a hotel and be in the guest service business. From the front desk staff to the little items missing in the rooms, the experience is lacking the 4-star service that should be expected here.
