When in Napa nine months ago, we couldn't squeeze in a trip to Addendum to trying the fried chicken. It is only opened Thursdays-Saturday. This time my group of four decided to make time for this "shack" and try the infamous fried chicken. None of us enjoyed it thoroughly. Once we got past the price of $17 (tax included) for two boneless pieces of chicken and one piece of dark meat along with a cornbread muffin, cole slaw and mac and cheese, we all agreed it was just "okay" chicken. The chicken itself was very moist. The coating had a strong rosemary and salt taste. And it tasted a bit of sweet on the side (odd). No one like the cornbread or the mac and cheese, and we found the cole slaw to be the best part of our lunch. On our second visit to California, we made sure to get this task accomplished and to try this chicken. We don't need to go back and revisit though. We have had much better chicken in other cities and even at a bus stop in Panama! Go if you are like us and want to satisfy your curiousity like we did. Split a box lunch first before you buy two and are disappointed like we were (we only bought one box fortunately but spent close to $20 since we also ordered subpar iced tea) at Addendum.
