“Amazing hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 August 2014 via mobile

We spent 5 nights at the Hotel Yountville. We loved everything about this hotel and it more than lived up to our expectations ! The rooms are large, comfortable, cozy and romantic. We were on the 2nd floor with a small balcony. The pool area is amazing. Not big, but a very relaxing intimate setting with plenty of comfortable lounges, hot tub, outdoor bar and a few day beds to relax on - especially after a hard day of wine tastings :-).

The staff are very friendly, warm and helpful. The location great - all of downtown Yountville is in walking distance.

We are breakfast every morning at the Hoppers Creek kitchen near the pool. There are tables inside and out, both great settings.
The food there was yummy.

We would stay there again and highly recommend.

The Hotel Yountville was as beautiful as it represents on their web site. Our room, 104, had 2 queens, a fireplace, patio, cathedral ceilings & luxurious bathroom. Incredibly spacious and so comfortable. One small detail, which didn't matter to us, was the room is a tad dark. It's hard for natural sun light to filter in. Being that we were gone all day, it was not a factor to us. Their beds are heaven! Turn down service leaves chocolate on your pillow!
We arrived late, after a VERY long drive on the coast (12 hours!). Although the front desk wasn't rude, the reception was not all together warm & fuzzy. A little more attention to service can definitely benefit the over all service rating. Perhaps due to the young staff, the "old world" level of service wasn't felt. Our rooms were cleaned, but again, small details were a little neglected & could use a little fine tuning. We were courteous enough to leave a tip for the maids, hoping to boost their enthusiasm to be a little more efficient.
Pool is small but perfect! Jaccuzzi hot & perfect! Restaurant has in door & out door seating, which was perfect! Their home made English muffins are a must try! Value for the level of comfort, location & feeling of luxe is a 5!
Yountville town is super charming & despite the fact that it is a short drive from most renown vineyards, it felt better to be a little away from the wineries. You can walk to town from the hotel & have so many incredible meals & even pick up necessities from the market (playing cards!).
I would most certainly return for a longer stay.

Hotel Yountville is amazing, even better than on the website or what I expected. We had a deluxe king facing the back, second floor, room 905. Absolutely stunning room, bathroom is awesome (literally it's like a second hotel room). This room is directly across parking lot from pool and kitchen which is great. Room was quiet just as I hoped.

The pool is gorgeous, really perfect in terms of set-up. I just wished they had rules as far as kids are concerned; they tended to get very loud and splashed a lot, which would kind of diminish the mellow, zen atmosphere. The pool is terrific for night swimming, with the fire going and pretty lantern lights in the trees.

Although the hotel is one of the further ones out from the main town center, everything is so close and the walk into town is quite lovely. I think the longest walk we has was to The French Laundry (and I would have walked hours if I had to to get there!).

Service is fantastic, we felt so welcome upon arrival; good explanation of the grounds, and they provided maps of the area and where to mention we were HY guests. Hopper Creek Kitchen had nice breakfast but quite pricey - I suggest going into town to Bouchon Bakery or one of the other cute cafes and bringing back to your room, you get the nice walk and can enjoy on your balcony or garden patio. They also do turn down service which is always a nice extra.

The only somewhat minor issue I had was with my laundry; long story short they forgot to send it out and it sat for over a day without getting done, and then I couldn't do it because we were leaving. And good thing I called asking the whereabouts of my laundry that never arrived; nor did they offer me anything for the inconvenience. This seems like an easy fix, and I don't have the heart to doc them from 5 to 4 rating since I had a perfect stay other than the laundry incident.

Room Tip: Room 905 is on the far side from the main road, and directly across the parking lot from the pool an...

Came here for my honeymoon last year and it really was the highlight of our trip down through California. Exceptional property, well-appointed rooms and attentive staff, who were present always but never got in the way. The swimming pool and plunge pool area with the fire pit is wonderful and attention to detail is fantastic. The town of Yountville is a playground for wealthy adults to taste fine wine and eat very, very well but amongst this, Hotel Yountville provides excellent comfort and service with none of the stuffiness you would equate with a first class hotel. Thank you for an excellent stay and I really hope we can come back soon.

We booked this hotel as part of our drive up the California coast ending up in Napa (then back to LA). We did the Mondavi wine tour up the road and then checked into the hotel. Service was great during check in and someone helped us with our bags right away to get to the room and showed us where the restaurant/pool/spa was and gave us recommendations for our stay. The room was A+++. We had a premium king room (~$625) which was spectacular. I've stayed in many hotels and this was one of the best. The tall ceilings, canopy bed, HUGE bathroom with steam shower and separate tub, lots of counter space, list goes on! I wish every hotel was like this! We then went to the pool which was amazing as well. Luxurious, high quality loungers and canopy beds. Towels, ice cucumber water, and magazines all pool side for your convenience. Drinks/food service poolside was good too. The pool was heated, and jacuzzi was big and has jets you can turn on with a button. Next to the jacuzzi there were flames that looked amazing especially during sunset. Honestly, it's one of the nicest outdoor pool set ups I've seen! The pictures look nice but in person it is even nicer. They even said the pool/jacuzzi is open to guest 24 hours a day so if you want to go for a late night swim they are open to that! The next day we went to the pool during earlier in the day and it was great for sun bathing and just lounging. We had to drive back to LA but all I wanted to do was stay another night at least there! I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family visiting Napa!

Room Tip: The Premium King room is beautiful!

Hotel Yountville is the only hotel I have stayed at where I did not want to leave!. With the exception of not having my own kitchen, I felt as much at home as I do in my own house.
From the day we arrived until the day we left, our experience was fantastic.
Upon arrival we were courteously greeted by on of the door persons. He took our name ran back inside to tell the front desk we had arrived, then ran back for our bags.
During check-in we were told of all the little things the hotel offers, such as complimentary car service to drop or pick you up around town. This was a very nice extra, I was unaware of.
They also offered to make all our dinner reservation during our stay, also a nice gesture.
We were told that our room had been upgraded to a stand-alone suite.
The room was extremely clean and very quiet. Our suite was located right off Washington St, and I have read other posts that said it was noisy, well we did not hear a sound from the street.
We also awoke 2 mornings to fine the hot air balloons aloft right above our room. Beautiful setting for coffee out on the patio.
I can't wait to get back to this hotel for our next trip to Yountville

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the main building.

Dear Jfburn,

What better place to make your home away from home in the Napa Valley than the Hotel Yountville. We are all pleased to hear how you found the service so accommodating and helpful and the hotel so clean. Was also glad to learn that you took advantage of one of our great complimentary offerings- car service to the wineries and restaurants.

When you next visit Yountville we look forward to having you back as a guest.

No detail left out. Lovely. Luxurious yet comfortable.
Friendly and accommodating.
Location us excellent.
Truly a beautiful property and worth the splurge if this type is not your norm.
Delicious breakfast and lots of nearby restaurants for dinner.

Room Tip: Get the at least premium rather than deluxe. WELL worth just the few extra dollars.
