We ate at more expensive restaurants in Napa but this was the best meal that we had. The food was creative and very good. The cocktails, wine, all were exceptional. We didn't do the prix fixe - we ordered off the menu and everything we chose was very good.

We had a group of 10 and opted to a 5 course tasting menu with wine pairing.

Food was very good and creative. Couple of people felt they could have eaten more.

On the negative side, there were two choices for each course on the 5 courses. Pork belly or duck for instance. The server arbitrarily chose which person would get track A or Track B and while individuals could swap plates this seemed awkward and it would have been much nicer if we could have selected our preferred choice.

The dinning room lacked ambiance.

While the food deserves better, I am giving a 3 because I would not go back due to the service. There just are too many great places in the area. Redd is good but not great.

We were not very impressed. The interior is cold ,no warm feeling for my liking.
We had oysters, wich were fresh and tasteful but accompanied by an overpowering sauce wich we decided not to use because it killed the fine taste of the oysters.Than we had fish, nice but accompanied by rice and to much finely chopped veggies.Odd..A bit more simple sometimes can be a lot better.

We dined here when it still had it's Michelin star. My partner was really impressed with the food and services. We both had three course and opened a wine, and the price came to around $280, which I think is quite cheap for a Michelin starred restaurant (We traveled to Europe quite often and boy, they really charge a lot for good food... especially London, you don't get any starred food with this price.)

Quite interesting part is the wine list, about 85% are European wines, majorly from France. My partner (who is a British) was all giggling when she saw the wine list.

We had a great dinner here after a day of wine visits. The food was outstanding. It is hard to describe exactly what was missing but their is an overall "sterile" vibe that extends from the decor to the service to the food. I guess the place leans a little too far in the "foodie" direction for our taste to earn the full 5 stars. The best things we ate were the soups...a sun-choke soup my wife had and the lobster bisque amuse bouche. The mains were excellent but missing that extra flavor punch that we like. The pork, chicken and fish we ordered were all prepared to perfection but maybe being from Texas we wanted a little more pop in each bite. The service was was very efficient but really not friendly at all. The decor is stark and clean. Honestly, although it was a great meal, with so many great choices in the area, we would probably pass on Redd next time.
