my room was very large, with a comfortable bed, table and chairs, armchair, nice dressers, flat screen tv (satelite) with 80 channels, microwave, fridge, in-room coffee and free wifi. the windows open and are screened. everything in the room was clean but needed to be dusted.
breakfast was very ample- juices, coffee, apples and oranges, toaster waffles, toast, cold cereals, microwave oatmeal, etc.
the manger was very friendly, very accomodating with my requests and very helpful. he cars about the property- common areas were clean and the pool was nice, although next to the noisy highway.
nearby are grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants and joshua tree national park for great hiking trails.
so it is a clean, comfortable place to stay for a low rate with an attentive manager.
This place was our base for exploring Joshua Tree National Park. For about $50, it was a good value and fit our needs nicely. The room included a fridge, microwave, coffee pot, and flat screen TV. The management was quite friendly and helpful.
A few things could have been better: very noisy exhaust fan, shower head below shoulder height, and high-flow bathroom fixtures that seemed inappropriate in this dry climate. The free breakfast is on the skimpy side, even for this price range (oatmeal, a few cold cereals, very basic bread, so-so fruit).
But for the price, it is tough to beat. We would stay here again.
New years eve, 2013. Around 2am we woke up to music playing in the adjacent room. Pounded on wall to no effect. Called front desk - no answer. After trying again for about 10 more minutes we went down to the front desk. Nobody home. Finally gave up and attempted to sleep through the noise.
Next morning I was told that the front desk had been attended all night and that there were no parties going on. Liars.
If you can't get a quiet's night sleep why bother?
