Very good skiing resort for intermediate skiers. A lot of options to challenge yourself or just take it easy.

Beaver Creek continues to be classed as the family ski area for visitors to Vail Resorts. It may not have the world-famous back bowls of Vail, but it's really a great all-round ski area with runs to suit every ability.
There is a great slalom course which was packed with junior racers during the recent Spring Break. Up above were classes for skiers of all ages from tiny tots upwards.
The mid-mountain restaurant provides some of the best lunches available - with a better choice than Vail - but just as expensive.
Most skiers come down before the end of the day to enjoy the outdoor enetrtainment, free cookies and the outdoor ice ring. This is a luxury resort at luxury prices!

Beaver Creek is a WEAK ski resort pretending to be a 5 star place. We live in California and ski at Mammoth Mt. every year, where lift tickets are $94 for adults, $35 for kids. So we were shocked when we saw that tickets here are $129 for adults, $89 for kids=which is $100 more per DAY than Mammoth Mt. (and Mammoth is like 4 times bigger than Beaver Creek, 2nd only to Vail in the USA). We were there on April 7th, it was snowing, there was plenty of snow, yet they had Chair 11 closed which connects the whole right side of the mountain (which was closed for no reason). We asked a lift operator why it was closed, and he gave us no reason. Then we found out from locals in town that they can't find people to work the lifts because of low pay (while ripping off skiers with outrageously over-priced tickets and rude employees). We have skied at 19 ski resorts in the USA the past 35 years, and this place is weak, like Snow Summit in CA (which is 3 times cheaper than Beaver Creek). The only thing that stood out for our family was the kids' ski trail with teepees, wagons, and "wild west" buildings to ski past- or I would have given this place 2 green circles. $16.50 kids lunch "deal"- which was a small got dog, small fries, and small soda. I hate getting nickeled-and-dimed by these ripoff corporations. Most over-rated ski place I've ever been to. I suggest people in Colorado check out Mammoth, which blows both Beaver and Vail away.

My family was in Beaver Creek about 3 weeks ago and enjoyed ourselves so much that my husband is considering property :) I am not a skier, but he and my daughter had so much fun with their instructor and loved the mountains. The weather could not have been more perfect! For those who are not skiers, there is no lack of activities for you, from shopping, fine dining, spa, cute village of Avon....well, you can tell I am an enthusiast!
Go - just GO! You will not regret your decision!
