We loved Beaver creek although can come across as a bit 'showy' and upmarket. Elevators, conveyor belts and free cookies in the afternoon is something that I have not seen anywhere else in the skiing world so is certainly different. Loved the ice rink in the middle of the village and the cosy chairs and fire pits around the perimeter - they have done an excellent job on the atmosphere & the kids loved it. The mountain itself is relatively steeper than we expected so unless your kids are good skiers and snowboarders you may be better off somewhere else which has more beginner and intermediate slopes. We skied outside the US school holidays being from Australia and there was literally no one on the mountain - bizarre but excellent!!! Used the Epic Season Pass so managed to ski Breckenridge (our favourite of the 3), Beaver Creek and Vail - excellent value and variety on one ski pass.

No negatives. Lovely powder at start of week. Got warm mid week and some slush on the lower runs. Great service from lift staff etc.

Beautiful.

Very good skiing resort for intermediate skiers. A lot of options to challenge yourself or just take it easy.

Beaver Creek continues to be classed as the family ski area for visitors to Vail Resorts. It may not have the world-famous back bowls of Vail, but it's really a great all-round ski area with runs to suit every ability.
There is a great slalom course which was packed with junior racers during the recent Spring Break. Up above were classes for skiers of all ages from tiny tots upwards.
The mid-mountain restaurant provides some of the best lunches available - with a better choice than Vail - but just as expensive.
Most skiers come down before the end of the day to enjoy the outdoor enetrtainment, free cookies and the outdoor ice ring. This is a luxury resort at luxury prices!
