We stayed there during the off season so it was relatively quiet. The room was very spacious and staff was extremely attentive and efficient. There is a free (included with the resort fee) valet parking and they provide coffee / muffins in the morning. While this is not quite a replacement for the breakfast, still a nice touch and convenient. Rooms are equipped with everything you need - I was only missing a balcony - and what you don't have, you can get from the frond desk in no time. Unlike some other hotels, they provide decent sized shampoos and soaps so you don't have to request a refill after each shower. Very nice robes and selection of teas / coffees was also welcomed.

Free shuttles (on demand during the off season) are readily available and can take you anywhere within the resort. I'm not sure if there are ski lifts in the walking distance from the hotel - probably not - buy you're 5-7 min away by shuttle.

They have a nice work out room and pool (we didn't use any of that) and on site restaurant - overpriced, of course, but within the general pricing range for the area.

The only drawback for me was that the hotel wasn't offering any breakfast choices. I'm not sure if that changes during the high season though.

Dear zavulon,
Thank you for taking the time and writing a very detailed review of your recent visit. Starting in the middle of June, we will be offering multiple breakfast options provided by the award winning Grouse Mountain Grill. In regards to your request of a balcony, we do have a deluxe option which entails a Juliet balcony and a walk-out balcony to enjoy the beautiful Colorado sun rise. Thanks again for your review and hope to see you back at The Pines Lodge soon.

From the moment we pulled in we loved beaver creek! The pines lodge had excellent service. The bell men were exceptional! The room was spacious and even had boot warmers!! Enough room for us and all of our ski clothes. Breakfast in the morning was expensive but we sucked it up because it was vacation without kids.
At the end of the day skiing right to the pines was awesome! We can't wait to go back.

We stayed here after finding a good discount price but wow we're we surprised at how great the hotel was.
Beautiful room, view, village and fantastic staff. They had a special going in the main restaurant so we tried it and we're blown away by the quality and service. The manager, Kyle, went out of his way to be good to us and we couldn't have been happier.
The entire hotel staff was outstanding and our stay left us with a very positive impression of the management.
We would love to go back again.

My husband and I enjoyed a too-short stay at the Pines Lodge during ski season. We loved the location of the hotel because it's away from the bustle but an easy ski-in/ski-out via the back trail, and the overnight ski storage is very convenient. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. The staff were uniformly excellent - welcoming, friendly, eager to assist. We did experience one small problem and the follow-up by the front desk manager and general manager was exceptional. When we return to Beaver Creek, we'll definitely consider the Pines Lodge first.

We did not eat in the restaurant, but the cookies served in the lobby each afternoon were great!

The only down side is it's not an easy walk to the village for dinner, but the Lodge does have a shuttle and we had a car so it wasn't a problem.

The rooms were large, nicely decorated, clean & comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly & helpful. We were lucky enough to book during a great Vail Resorts sale & got this room for a bargain! I'd definitely recommend The Pines Lodge to anyone.

I took my family to Beaver Creek - to the Pines Lodge - for a 4 night stay over Spring Break. We really enjoyed this hotel. Like the other reviewers, we thought the staff was the highlight of this hotel. From the desk clerk, baggage guys, ski valets, and even the dude in the knit hat making coffee in the mornings, everyone was great. Some key highlights: Our room was big enough for 4 people and very comfortable with great views back toward Avon. The kids loved the heated pool (although I thought it felt 3-4 degrees too cold). Free coffee on every floor in the mornings was a very nice touch. The ski valet service worked flawlessly and was super convenient. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The property was clean, well maintained, and the beds were comfortable. The lobby cookies were amazing. Ski rentals are located directly on site (took 10 minutes to rent everything day 1). Valet parking is included in the price per night. And of course, the rates were awesome (we paid roughly 1/2 the price of staying at the Park Hyatt, which basically amounts to skiing for free each day).

Some might question the proximity to Beaver Creek. The Pines is not exactly in the ski village - it is on the edge. This means either a 7-8 minute walk down a ski in/out trail to the ski village, or take the shuttle, which is a 2 minute ride. The shuttle comes every 15 minutes or so, but we never waited more than 5. Sometimes we walked down the trail, which was very nice. Now, with small kids (4 and 7), this could be a bit of a hassle with all of the gear, but to me it was worth the cost savings. After the first day, the ski school stored all of the kids' gear, so that made the trip much easier going forward. The only other downside is that there really isn't much for kids to do, but that's probably to be expected in a 60-room boutique hotel. Also, if they want smores, just head to the Park Hyatt where the smore's pit is open to everyone.

We would definitely stay at the Pines again, and would recommend it both to folks traveling with and without kids.

Dear Todd K,

That is an amazing review of The Pines Lodge and thank you for taking the time to read the other reviews too. You touched on everything from our awesome staff, to the irresistible cookies a 3:30pm, the breathtaking views from our Superior and Deluxe rooms and were very detailed throughout. You named a few of the characteristic that separate the Pines Lodge for other options in Beaver Creek and I appreciate that type of response. Thank you again and please call me directly before you book your next vacation in Beaver Creek.
