I live three blocks from Chautauqua so I have had a chance to explore the many trails, go to the concerts in the summer and just generally enjoy the open space and superb views for a long time now. All I can say is this is the great outdoors at its best. The Dining Hall food is very good.

As a Boulder resident.....and Chautauqua being SO close and easy to get to.......we adore the walking, hiking, concerts and the Dining Hall.

This area should be on everyone's GO TO list when visiting. It's also a paradise for leashed dogs.

You can spend ah hour here or half a day. Whatever your heart desires.

Nature at its finest. Get super close to the Flatirons and walk around the beautiful paths. Recommended to everyone! They have trails for all levels of experience.

Do not miss this if you are even in Boulder at any time of year. Terrifc access to hiking. Great cottages to stay in. Tennis courts and lovely playground for kids. Music festival in the summer. Buildings are original and history abounds. Gardens are gorgeous, Benches for peaceful contemplation are available. Grounds for ball games, picnics, kite flying and all manner of out door fun are beautifully groomed with trees. Can't recommend enough!

Beautiful view of the flatirons, hike is moderate, bring some water, and eat there. The dinning hall is a majestic white building that has a wrap around porch that is nestled next to the trails and has a unique charm. It almost feels like you are sitting in a structure more commonly seen in the south. Sit outside if the weather permits !
