Nestled in the foothills this is a great place to take a break and learn about science. There are interactive displays that are interesting for kids and adults, a library and a few easy trails outside with beautiful views.

The center is filled with interactive and informative displays. Take a sandwich and plan a hike after the tour of the facility. Building is designed by Pei and is nestled next to the foothills providing a panoramic view of Boulder.

National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) was a star in Woody Allen's "Sleeper." Designed by the great architect I.M. Pei, NCAR recently celebrated it's 50th birthday. It is a breathtaking piece of work, planted at the top of a mesa. Just walking around the building is a treat.

One of this country's best center for science and research with several Noble prize winners in residence. Lucky if you can find a tour to see this great place

What you see on TV or even in documentaries pales in comparison to the real thing. The place is busting with exciting research happening in real time. I challenge anyone not to come away completely blown away by what they see.
