I have worked in coffee shops since the 60's, and this one has the excellent coffe ( and an incredible assortment of tea) that one would hope to find. The baristas are for the most part, first rate, and the atmosphere is so very classic coffee house. In fact in the summer on weekend evenings they often have entertainment outside on the back patio ( during the daytime it is an outside sitting area with a sandbox area for children) which varies from a Balkan music group, (which has it's fan base of dancers who all get up and spontaneously dance), to comedy and plays. They have become more computer friendly over the years, but as there is still a shortage of plugs, you may have to ask someone if you can plug in at their plug to recharge, and most people have no problem with that. It is small, and many don't mind to share a large table or booth. They open at 6:30 am but are usually crowded by 8:00. The atmosphere is very different at night than in the am, am is an older crowd, professors, regulars etc, while evenings finds students and younger people. Also the used books are of a high quality.
