I have stayed at many great hotels, this is one of the best. The hotel is beautiful with great amenities. Amazing staff, and the flowers throughout the lobby smell wonderful. We weren't sure this would be a good hotel for children but it absolutely was. The only downside for kids is the pool edge. Lot of scrapes from the stone. We will return.

Dear Famtravel8,

Thanks for taking the time to review the St Julien Hotel & Spa. We’re happy both you – and your children – enjoyed your visit, and hope you’ll all continue to stay us for years to come. If you have the chance, visit us again this summer, when not only our lobby and Terrace flowers are in full-bloom, but our on-site herb garden is at its peak as well.

This was a birthday treat for us and well worth it. They to a great job of merging the craziness of a college town with the serenity and magic of the Flat Iron mountains. Service was as expected, the services were solid and professional, and the amenities amazing. Wonderful to sit in a pool and gaze at the mountains. Can't wait to go back so we can sit on the porch relaxing and watch the college students hassle with move in day!

Dear Borno01,

Happy belated birthday – we’re glad you celebrated with us at Spa at St Julien. Please come back for an overnight visit soon (or in late August if you want to take in the craziness of college move-in day from a more relaxing atmosphere).

My friend and I visited the Boulder area and decided to stay at the St. Julien and we are glad we did! right in the heart of downtown Boulder off Pearl St. Mall. The Hotel lived up to it reviews my girlfriend and I always use the same airport service from the Denver International Airport the driver told us a taxi would have been around $130. We used Colorado Airport Transportation for only $98 for the both of us. The staff at the St. Julien took care of all our demands and were very helpful thanks to all we had a great time.

The hotels lived up to its reviews. The location was perfect. Right in the center of Boulder. The staff was extraordinarily accommodating. The concierge was terrific pointing out the best things to see in town and even delivering a box of chocolates and a card for our anniversary. The room was spacious and very quiet considering all of the noise in the lobby at night on the weekend. I was particularly impressed with the selection of "complimentary" newspapers in the lobby including the Sunday New York Times. Wow, what a treat! The business center was great with free access on-line access. The work-out room was smaller than I had expected with not as many weights as I would have liked. The cardio-machines are fine, but the room can get pretty crowded during peak times. The pool and hot-tub were great.

My only complaint was that check-out time was 11:00 a.m. on Sunday. They offered no opportunities for an earlier check-out, even by just one hour. However, when we arrived, our room was ready by 1:00 p.m. so we made up the time on the front end.

I would highly recommend this hotel, but you certainly pay for the privilege.

Finally, we returned to the St. Julien. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this hotel, rooms are small but very well appointed. Staff - AMAZING. From the Valet, Front Desk, Spa, Room Service and Bar. (I know I left people out) So sorry. My husband and I never leave there without feeling we should just move in. Had a massage (last minute booking) with Brooke, she is great. Highly recommended. We were able to spend a day with our niece (Thornton CO) on the Mall (neat shopping and "entertainment"). We did the "Taste of Pearl" Lots of nice wines and great food. Can highly recommend the Med and Ten Ten Brasserie. The Bar at St. Julien - Great!! Amy was a fab manager, was really fun to watch she and Andrew work. Highly recommend this hotel. Go here. Fast!!!!

Room Tip: Does not matter, all of them are comfortable and great.

We stayed at the St Julien in February. It was amazing. This property has a wonderful personality! We loved it from the moment we drove up and were greeted by helpful and knowledgeable staff. They were great about recommending restaurants and places to see while we had a few minutes between meetings. While the room was a tad small (a little lacking in closet and drawer space is my only complaint), it was SO comfortable! Loved everything from the treats put on our pillow at turn down, to the great, comfy lobby, wonderful lap pool, healthy breakfast options, and amazing signature cocktails at the bar. But one we so enjoyed the great dance band on Friday night when it seemed like much of Boulder, in a "come as you are" fashion, descended on the hotel. We had a blast! Despite that we happened to be at the hotel during the Boulder Film Festival, and the hotel was packed, it was a wonderful stay. We'll definitely be back!

Stayed here April 20-22, 2012, for a quick weekend getaway from the midwest. We had a great time, and we love Boulder.

Hotel is gorgeous, room was perfect. Location is perfect - walking distance to hiking and Pearl St.

Spa visit (we had massages) was nice but very overpriced for what you get. There was a lot of noticeable mold in the showers which made it feel more like my gym's shower at home.

If you stay here, CHECK YOUR BILL! We did the "St. Julien experience" and they proceeded to double charge us for both valet (supposed to be included) and our spa visit (part of which was supposed to be included). Also, I had to call twice to get this figured out. Each time, the front desk staff seemed fairly clueless about how to do things like figure out what was actually charged, or how to change the credit card to which our 'experience' was charged. In my opinion, if they're going to market a package like this, it should be more streamlined and guests charged appropriately without having to scrutinize a credit card statement at home.

Overall, we would stay there again, but I was not overly impressed with the service.
