This is a historic property in a great location where you can walk to some of the best parts of boulder. This is what makes it a four instead of a three for me. The rooms and hotel property itself are somewhere between good and average. Ive stayed in nicer rooms, slept on better beds, but this place has character and charm. Its just fine.

I travel a lot through the 'big chain' hotels. There are none in Boulder. I was deciding between the St. Julien and the Bouderado. I'll admit, I love 'old' and historic buildings so decided on the Boulderado. If you want modern, chic the decor is not for you, but if you want outstanding service, this is the place to stay. The staff is incredible! So friendly and attentive. I never opened a door - someone miraculously appeared every time I approached the entrance. The glass ceiling in the foyer is spectacular. There are many 'nooks and crannies' throughout the property to sit and relax - all with antique chairs and setees. Lovely brick patio. Valet parking for only $10/night and the best valet staff I have ever encountered. Two short blocks to Pearl Street for shopping and dining. Visited the St. Julien to compare; they are very different hotels and although the St. Julien is beautiful, modern and chic, I honestly think if/when I go back I will go back to the Boulderado. The staff and service have me sold! Wonderful people and place.

I stayed here with 3 friends in one of their suites and it was wonderful. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere. All of the staff are very attentive and friendly. I really enjoyed the vintage feel of the hotel. The beds were SUPER comfy as were the pillows. Also, it's in the best location ever. The only downside is there's no complimentary breakfast. But this worked out for my group, because we were able to enjoy the wonderful brunch places in Boulder. Overall, LOVED this hotel.

The Bolderado was a fine hotel to stay at, though nothing extraordinary.

It is nicely located, in the centre of Boulder, and the staff is friendly, except for one lady we had serving us at the breakfast table (though let's be honest, we were a large group and in a hurry, so it must not have been a plaeasure waitering for us). The room we had was a little bit noisy; not because of bad isolation, rather because of too good isolation: the room got slightly stuffy if you left the fan off and the window closed, but either option was a bit noisy (only if you are sensitive to that).

The athmosphere is very nice though, 1930's American with lots of wood and stained glass.

The hotel room was big, bed comfortable, room warn enough. Wireless, tv and hot water worked. Built in the classic old Western style. Plenty of local Boulder folks suggested it as the hip place to stay. Hip it is not, but they probably mean "historical design" instead of "trendy design". Located a couple blocks from the little downtown area of bars and restaurants.

This hotel is like a step into the past. It looks like it has survived from the old west, which I assume it has. It has lots of great touches - an old elevator with operator, old phones, pictures, etc. It functions well as a modern hotel too. The rooms are large and very comfortable. They could look more up-to-date and robes would be nice, but the rooms are pleasant. There's quite a nice restaurant. The hotel can be a bit confusing to get around given that many rooms aren't in the same building as the reception and getting from place to place involves lots of stairs or elevators, but that wasn't a big deal. The location in Boulder is great - very close to the Pearl St. pedestrian mall and the great restaurants it offers. Service was excellent.

We usually try and stay in the "old" Hotels you find in downtown areas. These jewels are off the beaten path and are always unique. Sometimes it's not until we get there that we find out these awesome hotels may be located in a less than desirable area of the city, not so for Hotel Boulderado..... The Hotel is only a couple of blocks from downtown Boulder and it was the perfect location. The hotel itself is older with new upgrades. Our room was in the addition which I believe is newer than the original building. The room was a bit small, but it was clean and nice enough. (maybe a bit pricey) All together the place is huge ! Staff was very helpful and informative. Probably the only thing was parking (but we have found that parking is usually a premium at these old downtown hotels). So we expected to use valet -- they were friendly and accommodating. Overall an awesome place and a real gem for Boulder
