We took a day off of skiing to relax, shop the shops in Breck and then watch some NFL football with my family. The place got busier as the day went on. They were understaffed. Some regulars even pitched in delivering food. The food was marginal at best. I had the ULLR burger while it was good, it was cool and so were was my wife's food. We didn't send it back because they were understaffed. One bartender was nice ( longer hair and cap ) while the other could use some customer service training. That men's bathroom was smelly .. they open at 11AM and arrived to watch football at 1:30 PM on a Sunday. It was not busy when we got there. I would not go back.

We happened on Ullr's Sports Bar by chance while walking in a light snow from the DoubleTree to downtown Breckenridge on 04 October 2013 around 4:30 PM. We entered, looked at the menu, sat at the bar, and began what was a very nice dinner. There were only a half dozen people seated at the bar, all locals and acquainted; it reminded me of "Cheers," and they soon brought us into their fold. "Robby" (the bartender) and "James" (the owner & cook) were super. It was Happy Hour, and the 24 oz. Rolling Rock for $4 was a perfect beginning. My wife had a 1/2 pound burger with tater tots for $6.99, and I had a "Just-Outside-Of-Philly Cheesesteak" with provolone & fries for $7.99, dill pickle spears included. The sandwiches were great, and the potatoes were cooked to perfection! All of "we few, we happy few" at Ullr's that day swapped stories and found that we had connections to Wisconsin and to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It was very special, and who could guess that "Robby" from the East side of Milwaukee would have attended Riverside High School and had the same Tom Krasinski as an English teacher who supervised me as an Intern Teacher in 1971-72. Go figure, but this is the world of Ullr's, of Cheers, and of great bars everywhere. I bet this bar really rocks during the "season," and I can't wait to return!

Just ordered a $3 sub special to go. When order was filled they charged me $4.90. Some person at the bar said there is a .50 cent charge for take out and tax. I'm ok with the tax but charge for take out and most states don't charge tax on food when it's a take out. The sub was actually pretty good.

We apologize for the confusion. As stated there is a togo charge of .50 cents, to help pay for compostable togo boxes ketchup packs, napkins etc. Liquor and beer are not taxed yet food is as per state law. We also charge for adding certain more expensive cheese other than american or wiz, such as pepper jack, swiss, etc. We will post this clearly somewhere so unfortunate incidents such as this will not occur. Again sorry about the confusion. The Mgmt

We were afraid to try the food. Our order consisted of one Bloody Mary + one rum and coke. Both were probably the worst ever! Bloody Mary was made with tomato juice--no seasoning and no garnish. Rum and coke (Pepsi) was flat and no taste. Do yourself a favor and find another location if you are looking for acceptable drinks.

This bar and restaurant has moved recently to a new location. It is a fairly new building outside, but inside it is a dump. Partially painted walls with the old color still showing, dirty floors and windows, old furniture. It looks like it is still in a 100 year old building instead of one that was built in the last 10 years.
We had a burger and wings. Both were okay, nothing special. 6 wings were $9, with a couple of celery and carrot sticks.
Lots better burger and wing places in Breckenridge and lots better looking inside.

We are so sorry you "caught" us in our remodeling phase. We chose to do some painting and renovations without closing as not to loose guests. Apparently this was not explained to you by our staff. During the slow/mud season before 4th of july weekend, many restaurants close for weeks as Breckenridge is a ghost town. A few certain establishments remain open to serve the few people left in town......we are one of those places, yes it may not look acceptable, but to alot of people it is just nice to find a place that is open. Again, we apologize. Thanks, Ullr's
