This hotel is great for skiers, close to Mi Casa which is an excellent Mexican restaurant and has very comfortable beds. It is also a great choice for summer vacations with lots of activities in Breckenridge all within easy walking distance

My wife and I recently traveled to Breckenridge and redeemed some Hilton Honors points to stay at the Doubletree. The hotel staff and the service they offered far exceeded our expectations. They easily outshined staff from ritzier and far more expensive hotels. The rooms were nice - comfortable and clean - as you would expect from Doubletree, but the staff at this particular location were tremendous. We'll stay here again.

The Breckenridge Doubletree is trying to upgrade, but not doing it right. They put us in a newly remodeled room, but it had no AC, outlets that did not work and you had to walk through a construction zone - dirty, dusty and just very unappealing - to get to your room. One gentleman in a remodeled room had sewage back up in his bathroom sink. Plus the hot tubs broke while we were there. Not a good experience and would not go back, or recommend to anyone.

We stayed at the Double Tree for our first visit to Breckenridge. The website pictures looked great and we liked that it was in walking distance to everything. What we didn't like was the hike to the first set of elevators to get to the 6th floor and then the walk to get to the next elevator to go one floor up. Not what you want to do when you've been walking/hiking all day. The rooms weren't very updated and the elevators were being renovated I guess. When we first checked in and got to our 7th floor room it was a little warm but we didn't think anything about that. We did however realize our headboard wall was on the other side of the elevator. We went down to ask the front desk if we could change rooms since we were worried we'd here the elevator running all night. They were really nice and said they had another room available and when we got back from dinner we could change rooms. Upon returning from dinner we stopped and got the key for the new room, took the hike and found our room. When we opened the door the heat was the first thing we noticed. My husband went to turn on the air and we couldn't figure out how to get it to work. The temp showed 85 degrees. I went down to the desk to see how to turn the air on and was told they don't have air conditioning. What? I realize most people stay for the snowing and don't need anything but the heat but what about someone staying in the warmer months. I was told that none of the hotels had air conditioning which I found hard to believe. He told me to use the box fan and put it in the window to draw in the cool air at night. The plug to the fan wouldn't reach to the window and the window only opened up a little. Needless to say, we stayed in the room we were originally in prepared to rather hear noise than be so hot. We probably won't stay there again. The Marriott in Golden that we went to later in the trip had air conditioning and was a much nicer and cheaper hotel. Lesson learned.

Room Tip: Select anything on the first six floors otherwise you have to take a second elevator and hike to get...

As a Hilton Diamond member have stayed at hundreds of Hilton properties across the country and this is by far the worst one. Poorly designed and laid out. Getting from the garage to the top floor requires 3 different elevator rides. The rooms are old and in dis-repair. Carpet is torn and ratty, spaces are small, rooms smell bad. There is no AC, you must prop a fan in the window to cool off the room. There is nothing good about this hotel. It should be blown up and a new one built.

I stayed at the Hilton June 6, Room #812. The hotel has initiated a Valet Parking only policy ($15 ). The person at the front advised me that as an alternative public parking is available 2 blocks down the hill at Lot F. I parked in this lot and received a parking ticket ( no parking 2-6 am)
When I advised the person at the front desk the following day she replied that there are signs posted at the lot ( true, I missed the signs). This lot is not an alternative for Valet parking and should not be recommended unless some disclosure is made to the guest.

When visiting the mountains I like to leave my window open. There was a large commercial air conditioner? or other utility unit outside my window. So much for getting away from the city noise.

The elevator system is very inconvenient. One elevator is located at the end of the building and then at Floor # 6 a guest must find a second transfer elevator to the 8th floor.

The cable television is analog and has a limited number of channels. Is Hilton to cheap to purchase an adequate cable menu?

The bathroom is the size of a postage stamp. The bathroom door cleared the front of the stool by 1/4 inch.

Considering all the issues I will not stay at this hotel again. Way overpriced compared to the quality level.

I stay at Hilton Hampton Inns and am very satisfied every time for less cost.
