We thought the hotel was beautiful, clean, up to date, nice fixtures, kitchen and dining table. We had a nice view overlooking the river and loved going to sleep with sound of the river in the background. The room we stayed in was huge and the bathroom was huge. We also liked the fact that it had a much needed laundry room available (traveled with a baby and definitely needed to do laundry after 4-5 days).

Had a great stay at Main Street Station (building 3) with our family this weekend. We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath condo on the 4th floor. The location was great for the summer and the main living room area was spacious for four guests. We would stay here again.

We have just returned from a week at Main Street Station and found that the hotel did not live up to the promises on it's website.

The location is handy - between the ski slopes and the town but the poorly located ski valet meant that we had to walk much further than we should at the start and end of each day.

Our 3 bedroom apartment was on the 5th floor of the West building and we had a great view of the roof and the ventilator equipment (with mountains in the distance). The decor was the most depressing you could imagine - an amazing combination of olive green, sludge brown, burgundy and pond weed on the walls and even the ceilings. Even on a bright sunny day the rooms were gloomy. The beds were a good size but far from comfortable, and the bedspreads sported a number of rather dodgy stains. Hopefully they will get a dry-clean at the end of the season?! Bathrooms were good and plenty of hot water.

For an apartment that purported to sleep 10 people the kitchen was very poorly equiped. Only two saucepans and two frypans (but no wooden spoons or spatulas!) made it hard to cook dinner for 5 so I don't know how you'd cope for 10. There were nice big coffee mugs and a coffee machine with starter sachets of coffee provided which seemed promising, but no filter papers so not much use!

We had been promised the little extras that moved the condo into the higher bracket (DVD/CD player, spa bath, balcony) but found just an old TV and video player, standard tub and a micro-balcony that you could stand on and if you twisted your neck real hard you could catch a glimpse of the swimming pool.

The pool and hot tubs are outside (not a bad thing in itself) but lacked changing facilities so guests had to traipse some distance across the plaza in their swimming gear -- not ideal in the snow and no robes provided.

The hotel lifts were VERY slow and the ski valet was remarkable as the most unhelpful person we met all week. Don't bother turning up unless you are waving some cash or you will be ignored.

The 'convenience store' was well stocked and friendly, but I wouldn't call opening at 9.30 am convenient when you arrive late at night and need supplies for breakfast. We ended up at the Blue Moose across the road for a typical American breakfast with typically massive portions. The hotel bus will take you to the City Market supermarket at the other end of town (about 5 mins drive/30 mins walk) and pick you up again when you have stocked up on supplies.

We love Breckenridge and this was our 4th visit. We will go back to Breck but wouldn't bother with Main Street Station again. There is so much accommodation on offer and having enjoyed our stays at other Hyatt properties worldwide we felt badly let down this time.

Just got back from Breck and Mainstreet Station. We didn't use any of the hotels amenities but the location is very good. Short walk to lifts and in the heart of downtown for dining and shopping. If I had to choose a downside, it would be that maid service was every other day and the bed wasn't very comfortable. I would stay there again though.

We just got back from Main Street Station, and it suited our needs perfectly. My two boys (10 and 8) attended snowboarding school every day, which was maybe a 2 minute walk from our condo. My husband and I prefer cross-country, and could get to the trails by the hotel shuttle, which operates on demand and runs by tips. Although there is a free town shuttle, the hotel shuttle goes directly to your destination, so is a good deal. Also, there is a luxe spa, the Blue Sage, right next to the hotel, where I had a memorable facial and massage. This entire adorable town with lots of cute shops and great places to eat is within walking distance. Our unit was spacious and had lots of nice touches, like the gas fireplace, granite counters, tiled bathroom floors, and great towels and bathtubs. If you want to do your own cooking, there is a liquor store/grocery within 2 blocks -- or if you really want to luxuriate, the hotel will stock your kitchen before you arrive. I can't imagine what more anyone could ask for.
