This is the place to go if you are looking for a good quality dinner. The lamb chops were awesome. The side dishes were perfect! Service was also good and ambiance was great.

I find dining in the mountains can be hit and miss, but Briar Rose nailed it! We ate in the bar and the service was attentive and friendly. Food was fantastic. We had the prime rib, skirt steak (best steak I've had in years) and macaroni and cheese. It was all delicious.

Was treated to dinner here for my birthday!

First had drinks in the historic and very quaint saloon, whilst waiting for our table. Good service, loud though! Even for a Thursday on a less touristy time of the year. Younger crowd I sure wouldn’t mind the atmosphere and the small plates available there all sounded really good, and other patrons seemed to be enjoying them.

Seated on time, attentive waitstaff. Small seating area but elegant.
We shared a Butternut Squash soup that was lovely.
Hubby not having had too many game meats before, he had the Cervena Elk Medallions with Wild Mushroom demiglace. Cooked nicely and flavorful. He enjoyed it, however for his (unaccustomed) taste a little too gamey.
My entree was Sautéed Rocky Mountain Trout with Spinach Almondine and was delectible! Cooked perfectly would certainly order again! One of my favorite meals on this vacay!
All in all, lovely meal for a special occasion, but a bit too pricey to make it a habit!

A few friends and I stumbled upon this place (luckily) for my birthday dinner. We called and reserved a table 5 minutes prior to showing up. The staff is very friendly and attentive, and constantly (but not over-the-top) checking in to make sure everything was going well The drinks, the food, and our server were all phenomenal. We will most definitely be coming back the next time we are in town!!

We were looking for something casual and the Saloon hit the mark. Sat at the bar and it was super casual and easy. They have a great small plates menu and everything we had was excellent. Spicy Thai Beef Skillet was excellent. Service was with a smile and the prices were reasonable. We recommend.
