It doesn't take long to go through this house of a fairly wealthy African-American with an interesting history in the gold mining era, but it's very interesting. The old house has been nicely restored with wonderful period furniture and memorabilia. And, I like the way they handle the site -- there's a docent there to answer any questions one has, but there's no formal tour. Bravo! And, there's a donation suggested, rather than a fee.
