“Long Weekend”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 February 2014

Stayed here many times before. This is an older complex, but clean and well maintained, except for windows, which are not well insulated at all. We actually had a pretty good ice build-up on the inside of the windows, but the heat works well and the room temperature was very comfortable. The location is great, true ski in/out, about 10-15 minutes’ walk to the main street. Hotel has a shuttle that will take you just about anywhere in Breck. Gear lockers are too small to accommodate 1 pair of skis and 3 boards, so we had to take one of the boards to the room, but no one ever said anything. You can get breakfast lunch and dinner on-site. Will definitely come back.

Our proximity to the peak 9 chair was so wonderful! Ski rental (great service by Breck Sports), lift tickets, and base lodge all just a snowball throw away from our room. Our 2-bedroom suite in bldg. 4 was very comfortable and the complete kitchen made meals easy and affordable. Perfectly suited for a family ski trip...... my family was delighted. Clean, comfortable and convenient is a great combination-- Beaver Run has it.

Room Tip: bringing kids? Reserve a room with a kitchen and stop at the grocery store. :)

I'm writing this review to compliment one of this hotels amazing staff members, Eniel Robles. My wallet fell out of my jacket pocket as I was returning to my room to pack up and leave. Needless to say, I was frantic. Within 15 minutes of noticing it was lost, Eniel had found it, reported it to management, and then personally returned it to me. Thank you my friend, you deserve a raise.

Stayed for 11 nights, a couple booked into 'Colorado Suite' - described by check in desk as a 'studio' (clearly he has not stayed in Europe). Our Suite was in Building 4 and consisted of: separate bedroom, separate jacuzzi bath/shower, separate toilet and sink area, small kitchenette, living room with 3 seater pull out bed, recliner chair, table and 4 chairs and finally a real log fire. Kitchen had slimline dishwasher, fridge (with small freezer compartment), 4 ring hob, massive microwave, coffee percolator, 2 slice toaster, enough cutlery and crockery for 4 people, 1 frying pan, 1 pan and assorted bowls. Very clean, very comfortable, serviced every day, the cleaner even put the dishwasher on, if I forgot to do so. Kitchen is small but big enough to make breakfast and lunch, great money saver (get the free shuttle bus to the local supermarket, drops you right at the door, for your supplies). Hotel offered free log refills for the fire - just call the extension number and maintenance arrived with bucket loads of logs, kindling, fire starters and matches. Our room was directly on slope of Peak 9, you could have skied to the balcony if you felt like it. Ski locker's for building 4 are provided at ground level (short trip by elevator), 1 locker per room, locker keys are hung on back of your room door. Pick up your skis walk out the door and you're a short ski from the chair lift to take you up Peak 9 and links to all the other Peaks. A very short distance from the chair lift there is the ski school meeting place, lift/season pass office and a cafe/restaurant. From here we easily skied from Peaks 9, to 8, 7, 6 and back to 10 in around 90 minutes using blue and single diamond runs, very well located. Beaver Run, like most accommodation blocks provided a free shuttle bus service to anywhere within Breckenridge town limits. For us, short lift to building 4 lobby, call for shuttle via complementary telephone, tell the driver where you're going and get dropped off at the nearest shuttle stop (or sometimes directly to the door). The stops are never more than a minute or two's walk from where you want to go. Shuttle was free, but we tipped the driver a few bucks most times - they were all very knowledgeable and able to offer advice on places to eat. Beaver run has a couple of pools, spa area and outdoor hot tubs - I didn't use them, but several of my friends spent a couple of hours each day unwinding with a few beers and bubbly in the hot tub, they seemed quite popular, you are guaranteed to meet a few characters! The restaurants and bars on site were expensive - ok for 1 or 2 meals, but there's far too much variety in the town for it to compete. Meals in town were very cheap, around $30-35pp for 1 main and couple of alcoholic drinks, in 'Spencer's' at the resort, it would cost around $30-40pp just for the meal, drinks were very expensive. They also have a limited room service menu, which was great when the weather was particularly bitter. There is an on site supermarket type place, but it was ridiculously expensive and very limited stock - 1 sparkling water and 1 lemonade = $7 odd ?? So stock up at the local market. Overall, loved this place, great location, great accommodation, could not complain about the service at all. Hope to back in next couple of years.

Room Tip: If opting for a studio/suite, request building 4 slope side - truly ski in ski out, with balcony on...

Stayed at the Beaver run for 6 nights and loved every minute of it. Perfectly located right next to the chair lift up to the top of Peak 9 so you can ski right in and out. We stayed in building 4 which had its own ski lockers directly off piste. The studio rooms are very comfortable and a good size with a good little kitchen. Was pleasantly surprised that you are even provided with dishwasher detergent. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, the shuttle van down into town is a breeze and runs till 2am plus the drivers will often suggest a few places to try. Plenty of facilities too in the hotel from hot tubs to saunas to shops. As you can expect 10,000ft up a mountain it is pricey for food and drink but the breakfast buffet we thought was good value at $16 and the wait staff couldn't do enough for you.
Overall a super place to stay and if am making the trip back to Breckenridge again would definitely stay here again.

We found a standard hotel room at this hotel last minute for $120.00 per night. At this price it was well worth it considering it was on the ski mountain. The property consists of 4 different buildings that are all connected so walking to the slopes may actually take a while depending on your building. I was in building 2 and it took two elevators and several hallways to arrive at the mountain. This was the annoying part. The good part - On the mountain, underground parking for $10.00 per day. Complimentary ski lockers and there are several restaurants and cafes on the property so you don't have to leave if you don't want to. They even have a small convenience store to buy milk, cereal etc. Our room was very standard. Similar to a Holiday Inn Express. But we saw a few suites that looked very nice that included two levels, living room kitchen, patio and views of the mountain. It's worth looking into those for longer stays. They are located about 5 blcoks from downtown so you can walk or they have a great shuttle service that will take and pick you up from any location.

Room Tip: Building 3 may have a shorter walk than the other buildings. Building 4 is a long walk to the rest o...

We stayed here on a trade out and as employees of a hotel have to commend you. The logistics of the property must make a daily challenge for your team. Your staff was all friendly and helpful, even the engineer who came to open the hot tub after dealing with pipe break in the garage.

Our room, a Colorado Suite in building 4 was spacious and clean with a great view. The bed was really comfy, I slepted so well. We used all our in room amenities, the jetted tub and fireplace. We chose to valet our car and the lady who was working walked up the hill to valet our car from building 4 so we did not have to drag our luggage through the snow. When we called to pick it up the operator always asked were we wanted it taken too. On check out we wanted to ensure we vacated the room in a timely manner (knowing how late check out can be a real pain for housekeeping and the front desk) We were allowed to keep our car in valet all day and store our luggage with the bell desk. We took the shuttle into town and the shuttle driver gave us a great restaurant recommendation for brunch.

We are not skiers but could see this would be a great location, we sat in the hot tub and watched people walk out of the ski lockers and onto the slopes.

We would happily stay here again
