“Personal service, excellent British food”
Reviewed 10 May 2014

We took my British in-laws to the Wildflower to celebrate our daughter's graduation from CU.

The food was outstanding and the service was very personal. The Shepherd's Pie is the traditional kind made with lamb instead of ground beef.

The Cornish pasties were flavorful and the crust was flaky.

My in-laws were impressed with the authenticity of the food and it really topped off a great day. Will return.

“Best kept secret is getting out!”
Reviewed 2 May 2014

A wonderful experience by a family owned restaurant. John and his wife prepare authentic British cuisine from scratch and provide service like I've never experienced here. They are attentive, warm, friendly and genuine. The atmosphere is great. It is off the "beaten path" just enough to give is a wonderful ambiance. The food is FANTASTIC!

“Proof in the Pudding”
Reviewed 14 April 2014

an early Friday evening meal for two
Started with their version of Yorkshire pudding--never have had any before--this was
an excellent dish of puff pastry drenched or drizzled (your choice) with gravy. What a
nice start to an over-all good meal.
Our server was attentive and chatty, which in this case, we enjoyed. I ordered an appetizer of cod cakes & clam chowder (with dinner) based on rave recommendations by the host who
seated us. The cod cakes were just fine & made better with the pickled onions on top;
the down side was the price was high for the quantity. The clam chowder was below
average in that it was grainy textured & had very few clam pieces. The two main
courses were prime rib & corned beef; both tasty and in good portion. Both meats were
cooked properly though neither was as tender as we would have liked. The side mashed
potatoes were excellent as were the carrots and the generous cabbage.
We liked the setting and the décor--lots and lots of tea pots. We will definitely go
for dinner again; we may try the pub next time for its lighter fare.

“Delightful”
Reviewed 27 January 2014

Traditional English cuisine. On various visits, I have enjoyed shepherd's pie, prime rib with Yorkshire pudding, fish & chips and fisherman's pie. And don't miss the desserts!
