The sushi and the rest of the menu are delectable . I have visited numerous times over the last five years and it never disappoints. The drinks are terrific and the bartender shows originality. The gin, St Germaine grapefruit juice Martini was a charming surprise . This time the live music was a very pleasant ,yet unobtrusive addition. Always a pleasure to be there

We loved the hot and sour soup with shrimp. The flavor was powerful, spicy and invigorating. The shrimp were crisp. The meal tasted yummy and felt healthy!

Asian Palate has become one of the best places to eat in Chaffee County. They have great food in a very nice atmosphere. They offer live music many nights of the week and all kinds of creative dining, guest chefs, and a community table, if you are interested in that kind of meal. Or you can just enjoy a typical great meal with your guests in the usual setting. The price is very reasonable for the type of meal that it is. It has a great sushi bar, which is very unusual in this neck of the woods.

The owner goes to great lengths to insure that only the very best sushi is imported weekly. The presentation is very artistic and the prices are reasonable. Most visitors to this small town are blown away by the high quality of the entrees.

We stayed in BV for a few nights over Spring Break. We met some friends and their two young children here for dinner one night. We didn't want to drive all the way to Salida and back just for dinner. I am glad we chose this restaurant and would go back in a heartbeat.
I am not sure what I expected. But this being ranching, mining, tourist country in Colorado, I wasn't expecting much, and was prepared for sub-par food. Outside of the Front Range and high end ski resorts, a good restaurant is an exception; The majority are middle of the road.
So I was really pleased to have a spicy Thai noodle dish with tofu and broccoli that actually had some kick to it! The spicy entrees on the menu are connotated with little red chili peppers- these are what I would recommend. It was not "Thai hot" by any means, but it was well prepared and flavorful.
The California rolls were average.
The service was top notch (which, if you think about the fact that there are is a scarcity of jobs and those residents who live there in order to take advantage of all the outdoor recreating opportunities, makes perfect sense, because they want and need those tips!).
The entrees are around $13-$15 bucks- more for specials.
Some effort has definately been put into the decor and the atmosphere was quite nice.
