There are not a lot of choices in Burlington for local fare. There is Pizza Hut, McDonald's, Arbys, Burger King, Subway, etc. for chain restaurants, but if you want something local TJ's is a good choice. The ribs are not fall off the bone, but it is well prepared and a decent size portion. The chicken has a bit of rosemary added to the mix.
You enter the store and order at the counter. When your meal is ready it is brought to your table. This is a relatively small dining area with basic tables and chairs, but clean. If you are a Barbecue aficionado you will be disappointed. If you are looking for local atmosphere representative of Burlington with friendly staff and service and an average meal, you will be satisfied.
The portions are average, not large. The prices are representative of a local town. Not pricey, maybe $1-$2 more than you would spend at the fast food places.
