We recently enjoyed a great lunch there with our family. The entrees were superbly prepared, with generous portions. We've eaten at the finest places in San Francisco, New York, and Europe, and I cannot think of any other fine-dining restaurant that serves so many delicious vegetables. It has small-town charm and perfectly-executed meals. A must-try!

We ate at Le Petit Chablis on 12th September and had the best French meal we have had in the USA. In fact it rivals the best meals we've eaten on our many trips to France. My canard a` l'orange was truly memorable. Chef Daniel was friendly and interesting to chat with. Of course the next day we had to visit the bakery for breakfast and something to take for a picnic lunch. All delicious.

We recently stopped in Canon City for an overnight, and we visited Le Petit Chablis for dinner. What a delightful experience! The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was homey and intimate. Chef Daniel and his wife, Michelle, are warm and friendly. When we learned that they have a bakery next door, we skipped the free hotel breakfast the next morning to return for hot coffee, croissants and baguettes. We highly recommend Le Petit Chablis, and we hope we have an opportunity to return in the future!

Rode the train in the morning, went here for lunch. Wife ordered soup and salad, house salad was 98% greens with bland sauce, not the quality we expected. Same with the soup, cold potato soup, nothing special. Menu is on the wall, wish it were on paper with better descriptions. My mistake was to order the salad with Chicken. Salad came with blue cheese on top and I hate blue cheese with a passion. Even after scraping it off to enhance my wifes tasteless salad, the taste was still on items in my plate. Was not notified when I ordered that the cheese was included, hence menu would have been nice. Chicken was beaten paper thin and had an ok sauce. Again, not what I would expect from the other reviews. Great French food? Not on our plates, very lacking at best.

Morning Bakery Experience
Unfortunately we arrived to Canon City too late and didn’t have a chance to visit restaurant but next morning we decided to give a try to the bakery place… and what an experience was. The best Napoleons to the order we had at 7:15AM with double espressos… T h e B E S T!!!! Owned and Operated by former Broadmoor chef Daniel Petit and his wife Michelle welcomed us like members of the family it was so warming and comforting in so earlier morning. We know that it will be special trip to the restaurant next month because the way old saying says “the way you do anything you do everything” and the couple who worked previous night until 11-12PM and in the early morning welcomed us in the bakery with the tastiest and the most delicious Napoleons deserves 2 hours trip to that place… we defiantly will come to try this restaurant
