Already looking forward to a revisit! We had a lovely chilled 4 night break at Gran's Cottage. As others have said the cottage is deceptively spacious. It had everything we needed during our stay. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances, utensils and pots and pans. There is a TV with basic sky channels, a DVD, a video and a Wii. Also a selection of films, books and games. The sofas in the lounge were comfy. The beds were comfortable and the bed linen was lovely. The place isn't modern but it was full of charm and I loved looking at the pictures and ornaments. The jewel in the crown though was the view from the lounge across a small dip to the hills beyond. It was just stunning. We were also lucky enough to get a clear night, the sky was amazing.
Cottage was very big inside. Initially was hard to find, could do with bigger sign in the window to make it easier to find. Garden nice size for dog to run around, . If you want a quiet holiday its the place to go. Only downside is lack of mobile signal and internet.
The cottage is surprisingly spacious, receiving from the outside, lovely part of Scotland, very peaceful with fabulous scenery, great for walks etc,the large TV is great to albeit it didn't work sadly the first 24 hours,Jean is very helpful and nice.
My only issues with the place is the fact mobile network coverage is very poor/non existent because of the remoteness of the area and the fact the Cottage has no WiFi/internet which was disappointing, hopefully something that will be resolved in the very near future as all the previous Cottage's I've stayed at had internet/WiFi.
All that said I did enjoy my time at the cottage.
We have stayed at grans Cottage every summer for the last four years. The children are so happy here that they simply don't want to go anywhere else.
The Cottage is just like being at home. Extremely spacious , warm, with large private gardens and fabulous views.
We enjoy the local walks from the Cottage and star gazing on a clear night.
This is the perfect place for the mind, body and soul.
Jean the owner is always very helpful.
A small group of us stayed there for a weekend break. We had a fabulous time. The cottage is surprisingly spacious. It is situated in a very nice position in the village and has amazing views at the rear. The local pub serves a good choice of food for breakfast, lunch and evening meal and is a good price. Will definitely be back.
Well located, beautiful surroundings and very helpful owners.
Cottage has everything you need to either use as a walking base or hole up in to watch the world outside.
Locals also very friendly.
